The Czech Republic's political crisis could threaten the European Union's long-term plan to offer membership to new countries, its foreign minister has said.

There's absolutely no organic relationship between enlargement and the Lisbon treaty. This treaty is a bad treaty for the european citizens and I sincerely hope that it won't get ratified!
It is of the highest priority for Europe to get rid of Karel Schwartzenberg from the position to be able to force a ratification of the Lisbon treaty. A majority of the citizens of EU do not want the Lisbon treaty. It is being implemented above our heads. I prey for Vaclav Klaus. He is the only one that can stop Schwarzenberg now. It is remarkable that the same Schwarzenberg who forced a Czech recognition of Kosovo, against the will of the people, now is forcing the Lisbon treaty, again against the will of the people. He must be stopped before more harm is done.
