And how long do you think the FED will print out those endless banknotes before the crisis and debt totally destroy America?

I do harbor reservations. The IMF made the Thai currency crisis worse when they impose stiff conditions for lending money. (As we all would recall, the Thai baht crisis was caused by that American Hungarian Soros' attack on that currency).

So Belgrade should study IMF's condition carefully first before signing on the dotted line.

That said, I am still in favor of any country undergoing hardship to solve their financial problems through sacrifice and abstinence now than take the easy route to borrow and then leave it to their children to bear the burden of hefty repayments later.

And, oh yes, there were some pro-Albanian posters who recently gloated that "Kosova" is so important to the IMF that it will demand that Belgrade recognizes it first before any talk of loan ..... where are you guys now?

Jesus, MikeC, we already know. Unless I will marry either the young girl who is sitting on the shoulders of her b/f in the middle of the sea of red flags with black eagles OR if Vlora Citaku becomes the president of Hungary.

First is desirable, but unfortunately impossible (I am married and her boyfriend may object the idea, too - not just my wife).

The second is also desirable (every PM candidate we can master I can send to BG or PS to serve as a janitor) but also impossible (Vlora Citaku is not Hungarian citizen).

Case is closed, end of story. Some news are good, some are bad. Serbia will get IMF loan, I won't marry that girl, Hungary will have a PM who should be a janitor in Pristina and Vlora Citaku won't be the president of Hungary.

Radoslav that's exact the point..A commentator here in Italy has pointed out that many countries that are now seeking IMF bailout have a ridicoulous tax burden and big tax evasion so in his view (and also mine) firstly they must raise the tax level and improve the tax collection after...there is IMF...

Luigi - that's a mistake. The wealthy should pay their fair share like everyone else but I can't see any reason why there cannot be a new income tax rate above a certain threshold to generate more tax revenue - I understand that the highest rate of income tax is just 15%. Which developed country has such a low rate? They should introduce a new higher rate for higher earners at say 25 or 30%. For the government to just dismiss the idea because it won't generate ALL the revenue required seems to me a big excuse to protect the rich.
