Kate,

The UN has lowered itself to sneaking around saying different things to different people, mainly because they are terrified of upsetting the Kosovo Albanians.

Well Kate,

If you are good enough go in Kosova and help to speed up the implementation of 1244 UN resolution with being terrified to upsetting the Albanians.

"The law is the law, and states that under res 1244 Kosovo remains a province of Serbia"

Well the resolution doesn't really mention Serbia but Yugoslavia which doesn't egsist anymore. By the way as far as I am concerned a UN resolution is not a Bible that can not be changed. The problem we are having now is that Russia fanatically will veto any change. In other words SC is turned itself into a JOKE realistically.

kiko: "To Kate... A round peg can fit in a square hole. Depending on size of course. The opposite is a bit more difficult."

No, it's not, both are cases where there are gaps and the fit isn't right. The analogy stands: It is impossible without proper change through the nominated international channels to distort Resolution 1244 and various other international laws in a bid to take legally recognised territory for the political benefit of other nations.

Border changes cannot be made by a few bully nations. Where would that end?

Laki Bani: "To Kate,
Which law in the world allows killings, rape, expulsion bombardment etc. of its own citizens in such a manner that had been done to the Albanians in ex-Yugoslavia? I asked this question being aware of your “adherence” to the law."

Firstly, the media version of what happened in Kosovo was vastly over played. The '100,000' dead has been reduced to a few thousand including combatants. The charge of genocide was dropped against Milosevic by the UN.

Secondly, numbers aside, of course war crimes were committed which is why Serbs and other ethnicities are being tried at The Hague (it's just a shame that this court is so politically loaded and biased).

Cases are also being heard in Belgrade and criminals are being rightly convicted.

Every person murdered, raped or displaced deserves justice - Serbian, Albanian, Roma and all groups.

But this has nothing whatsoever to do with the breach of international law being attempted at the UN against Serbia.

Both are wrong and both need to be addressed. Sadly, individual cases of brutality may not all be answered for, but the case against the UDI is solid and strong.

I went to the UN website to see Ban Ki Moon's agenda on the 23rd of March, and his day started at 10:30 and finished at around 5:15 or so at which time he met with President Tadic....now anyone with a few brains can tell you that the meeting with closed doors wasn't that important at all! Have good day y'all!

Regardless of the rights or wrongs of the NATO bombings one thing is proved everytime the US and UK go to war without a UN mandate is that there is no long lasting stability.

1) Kosovo only an uneasy peace because it is occupied by KFOR, no real solution has been found to bring peace the same ethnic tensions remain between Serbs and Albanians.

The bombings by NATO only happened because Russia was in no position to do anything about it.

2) Afganistan- no UN mandate, we the west are no closer to beating the Taliban in fact the situation is getting worse.

3) Iraq- again no real UN mandate, Saddam love him or hate funded for years by us in the west kept order in Iraq. Now the country is an ethnically divided dangerous place, ok its getting better but its made Iran stronger through religious idealogy.

Next conflict Iran? We now have to look to Russia in a bid to stop them selling the famous S-300 air defence system to Iran, which is the best system in the world.

The Balkans- former enemies by that i mean communist states, we need your troops to die for the cause in Afganistan and possibly Iran.

So yes people of the Balkans join the EU and NATO we need your youth we don't care if you are Serb, Bosnia or Albanian your blood is all the same to us. Who cares what the UN says it has no power we need your troops.

Tonight after Tadic spoke to the UN SC someone named Hashimi tried to hang all the dogs on the Serbs again. But he forgot that Serbia has got an Ambassador to the SC whose name is Vitaly Churkin. So the respond to Hashimi was instant and crushing.

Those people who praise the bombing will rip the harvest they had sawn. Just let them be more patient. Formal recognition of the West and their few vassals will not bring them neither prosperity nor peace.

Only B92 moderator keeps me from saying what the Snake and the gang deserves. Long live Serbia and down with all Serbia's enemies !

Hello Biljana, wake up! You must be for sure a single, no children or any other family member! O.K. it’s not a tragedy, you are not the only one. But the tragedy lays on your heartless assertion; the reality is that an entire family, children, women and old ones are scarified for a goal. Was it that easy according to you? In other side the whole world had witnessed a cold-blooded and brutal execution of that “shield” by a civilized police, military and paramilitary . Now I have a question for you: what did Adem Jashari push to sacrify his family? As far as a “hoax” according to you named Recak is concerned; any eventual comment is just waste of time, but I’m still sorry for you because of fact that you must be blind or deaf as well, since the whole story is as well documented and pictured so I wouldn’t evan try to react on this.

To Kate,
Which law in the world allows killings, rape, expulsion bombardment etc. of its own citizens in such a manner that had been done to the Albanians in ex-Yugoslavia? I asked this question being aware of your “adherence” to the law.

Let us return to the article or topic itself: it was the first time after the war for Serbia to encounter reality. That was a good lesson to Tadic, from now on he will be thinking twice before continuing with his anachronisms.

How is Tadic made to look like a fool? All I see with this Hyseni fellow is that he's way out of his league. I see a professional statesman on one end, and an angry Albanian neophyte politician on the other. I sincerely hope Mr. Stay at Home Hyseni got the time to see the sights and sounds of New York. It's a wonderful place. I wouldn't want his trip to be a complete waste of time.

Sunny - Do you think you are the ONLY minority in Serbia. Should Tadic in every speech list every ethnic minority in Serbia. We'd be here forever. If the albo's have their way it'll be much easier for their "foreign minister" as there won't be any minorities to talk about as you're experts at ethnic cleansing.

Alban

Tadic was made to look like a fool! Where is the apology to the Albanian people?

Each time Tadic and Jeremic use propaganda, now Hyseni will return fire. B92, you left out the part when he said that my family was persecuted by the Serbian state.

Everything should be on record - Tadic should accept nothing less. Ban needs to put his words in writing to avoid attempts to worm out of promises.

The UN, EU, US and all the others just want to wrap up a piece of one nation's land and give it away. They should take note that no matter how they play with international laws and structures, a round peg will never fit into a square hole. And before the clever retorts come about reshaping, we are talking Titanium.

Biljana

pre 15 godina

"the massacre of the Jashari family, the massacre in Račak, and the widespread repression of Albanian civilians all around Kosovo,” Hyseni retorted.

-Jashari case was typical Albanian respose during the clashes with Serbian forces by hiding into civilian houses and used civilians as shield. "Brave" Jashari used own family in order to reach the goal? But the question is what goal? The only goal reached is resolution 1244. Was it worth it for Jashari and his family? I doubt. They all must be turning into thier graves knowing that Kosovo is far from any sort of independent country. Still very dependent!

As for Racak case, everybody knows it was a hoax. Let's invite Helena Ranta to speak up now openly about the Racak hoax without any pressure by the Racak masters. She begun to talk but unfortunately for the time being still stays ignored. However, one day I believe she will reveal all the facts related to Racak.

Wonder how much money is payed for turning Racak into massacre? ¨Perhaps William Walker could give an answer. I am very curious to know.
Probably a bit more than buying out recognitions from some tiny islands.

Funny guy this Hyseini.
