"Well if that is the case then you cannot expect the Serbs of Kosovo to become citizens of an unfriendly entity against their will. You should have told the Kosovo Albanians to re-integrate in the 1990s."

If they don't want an "unfriendly" entity, then they should return to a friendly entity in Belgrade. It's that easy. If not, accept Kosovo's authorities and be a normal citizen. Nobody is forcing anyone to stay or go.

And if we could have integrated in the 1990's we would have done it. However, we couldn't seeing as though your president at the time was busy setting the whole Balkans on fire.

Here's the problem for you: I'm Albanian from Albania. So why would I move to my own birth country when I was already living there? LOL. And yep, I did pay my bills, like a normal person who expects electricity does.

"Political pressure and a political campaign are in effect against Serbs in Kosovo, he said, "which are carried out in the 21st century by cutting off the electricity supply. This is impermissible and insupportable," he said.

Belgrade should STOP manipulating the Serb minority in Kosova. Their future is in Kosova if that is what they want to be. They should be speaking to they government in Pristina rather than Belgrade. At the end JUST PAY THE BILL!

>> " UNMIK, for political reasons, rejected an offer from the ministry that 50 million kWh of electricity should be earmarked monthly as a donation for helping the energy situation in Kosovo," Milanović said. "

What is UNMIK to do with the energy? The UN headqurters are in USA and they have plenty of power. Even UN now knows the Serbian game, check what Zanieri said today:
"“Although this policy is affecting all ethnic groups to different degrees, the issue has been politicized, leading to demonstrations by angry residents of Kosovo Serb-inhabited villages, who have recently clashed with the Kosovo Police when protestors tried to block traffic on main thoroughfares,” Mr. Zannier told the meeting, which heard from over one dozen speakers."

No wonder UNMIK is leaving, they have had enough of Serbia.

No matter what serbs and albanians “dream” they need to pay their bills.
If State of Serbia wants to pick up the tab, send the money and DONE.
Now if Serbia is considering Kosova as the territorial part of Serbia in what basis they will pay just the debt of Serbs and not the others.
As of Albanians do they go and cut the electricity of Haradinaj or Thaqi because as I’m informed they didn’t pay their utility bills for decades.
Honestly both sides can argue about everything but how they expect to be served without paying!!!!

Either integrate in the new country, live without electricity till you pay, or simply move to Serbia.

well I am wandering how does respond the Serbian government to the serbs that do not pay electric energy bills? Let's say to the Belgrade Serbs? Because I think that considering their citizens even those who live in Kosovo at least it has to consider the same treatment for both of them? And I never heard that in Serbia the energy is free. Or they have some free energy to give to K-Serbs?... God Help us to think and do like Serbs do.Even I would like to have free electricity. Uh I forgot I am not a Serb. What a pity!

Vuk

However Belgrade has offered to pay the bills and still the Kosovo Albanians refuse to compramise, do you guys think Serbs are the only non-bill payers in Kosovo? Albanians are in the exact same situation but are not being punished to the same degree, what a farce.

As for the comments relating to the southern province of Kosovo and Metohija being a state I think you are refering to the temporary occupation by American forces for strategic reasons which of course does not constitute a country in any legal framework Milosovic or no Milosovic.

If I power plans here in US, I dont; go to complain in Canada.

Remember all those posters saying how Serbs don't have money because of lack of jobs etc...many apparently have for generators and oil. Watch them pay the bill as soon as Belgrade sends them empty handed--again

Tammy

Why doesn't Serbia help them pay the overdue bills? Despite the situation, somebody has to pay for electricity - it doesn't grow on trees.

Yeah, keep on talking to Belgrade as if they can do anything. Meanwhile, Prishtina, the real authority, cuts your power till you pay the bills.

You want a solution?

Radoslav

Serbia should cut off the power to Kosovo intermittently until "Kosovo" pays all it's previous debts for years of free electricity. Either the albo's pay or their masters pay. when they pay, switch it back on. use that cash to subsidise the serbs in Kosovo who simply can't afford it as they have no job.
