"The future starts now"?

I can't be such an evil pessimist that I would say "Serbia earns these guys".

What about Hungary and Viktor Orbán? Or Russia and Putin? Or Poland and the "twins"? And the (almost) unsurpassed: Sakartvelo/Georgia and Saakashvili. Only Bush "tops" Saakashvili. From all of them he is probably the biggest criminal - see the "alternative theory" (not-so-alternative) about the Twin Towers and 9/11.

In comparison to these "gems", Nikolic is an angel. Even pigeon+snake with human organs hanging out of their mouth do not look as bad as Dubya, and that's an achievement.

The only realistic change therefore would be a slight change in government ie SPS out and LDP in.

Looks like a slight shift towards lesser "national awareness". Respect! - a good sign in the middle of economic crisis. In Hungary there is strong shift in the opposite direction. No catastrophe till FIDESZ won't win 2/3 of the seats, de-facto eliminating ANY opposition. If that would happen we may as well sell the home and move back to the States. Or maybe just BG or Germany. Heck knows...

Nikola is right, while it is tempting, if you are closer to the DS or SNS position, to want new elections, it is not in the national interest.

Opinion polls suggest that SNS would do very well, that support for DS would hold up or increase, that SPS and G17 would probably fail to reach the census.

The main party to lose support would be SRS, while DSS support would remain at the same level as last time.

The only realistic change therefore would be a slight change in government ie SPS out and LDP in.

It's obvious that Nikolić haven't got it yet; the future started more than a decade ago. It was started by men and women who even risked their lives, and lives of their families, for a new, righteous and truly democratic Serbia.

What was Nikolić doing then? Can't say "nothing". Because he was busy. Busy scheming with Seselj. Yes, of course their dirty little plans were risking lives, too. Not of their own but of others.

Guess what I see when I look into the eyes of Nikolić and Vučić? Darkness, my friends. Darkness. Deep pools of nothingness ready for eager desperados to jump in. I know how Nikolić and Vučić marvel at their own achievements. What they can't realize is that they have no achievements at all. Just arrogant speeches arousing, provoking the distorted minds of people who have lost their way and direction. Achievements these guys have none at all.

What do they plan to offer to a citizen of Serbia? Kosovo, stricter punishments for criminals, Kosovo, stricter punishments for criminals, Kosovo, stricter punishments for criminals, Kosovo, stricter punishments for criminals, Kosovo, stricter punishments for criminals...

It looks like Nikolic & Co. have no constructive proposals, so they call for elections ... but ... why not? Almost one year has gone since Nikolic's last call for elections!

Just a wake up call to the Serbian panel here.

It is more realistic to ask Kosova to join Albania than screaming "Kosova is Serbia".

I am purely making a point!

While I am a supporter of Nikolic's new party SNS, I don't think new elections is necessary. I realize it's his job as the opposition to talk about these kinds of things. However all elections will do is cost tax payers more money, and have the same result as there is now, DS in government. I think this current government should see out it's full mandate and focus on a energetic Serbian Progressive Party in 3 years time.

Kosovo is not recognized by the UN

Several EU countries say they will not recognize Kosovo

Russia wants to close the Hague

Russia says they will veto anything that does not support the UN resolution stating Kosovo is Serbia

Countries recognizing Kosovo have slowed to a stop

Kosovo's illegal declaration is currently in the ICJ

I would think that Tadic is doing ok and says that he supports Kosovo being Serbia. And he has done it without alienating Serbia.
