"I wonder how the Serbs will react when Ban tells them the party is over and it's time to go home. More tantrums, probably.
(Mark Jaho, 22 March 2009 21:16)"

You will keep wondering. Because it won't happen, not unless Ban wants to flout the resolutions of the UN and lose his job. Only the UNSC can tell Belgrade (or Pristina for that matter) that the party is over.

Big ups to #9!!!
This is merely a frozen conflict that won't be resolved until both parties agree. Albanian wishful thinking that the Serbs will simply allow 15% of their territory to be ripped away illegally is nothing more than wishful thinking. Also considering that Russia and China (to name the most important) strongly support Serbia's case.

do you really and honestly believe that any serbian LEADERS won´t be able to enter KiM, which is serbian territory anyway?

I mean, come on kids, don´t be naive, they stopped some official in a civilian car without international escort... that´s not really a sign of any kind of albanian sovereignty, ...that is mere road-bandits stopping a car!

let´s just see what your chickenthieve-security will do if a real delegation from serbian officials comes along.

I bet you won´t read that in your yellow-press down in Priština...

Sure why not but you need to have a UN approval to allow UNMIK to be dissolved which is very much IMPOSSIBLE to happen. SO JUST CONTINUE DREAMING Albanian Folks

"Meanwhile, the government in Priština said that neither UNSRC 1244 nor the UN mission "make any sense in an independent Kosovo"."

Talk about stating the obvious. Of course Resolution 1244 doesn't make any sense in an independent Kosovo since this same resolution says that it is a part of Serbia.

"Or like some ppl here who like to say Res. 1244 is still in force when not even their leaders are allowed to enter Kosova.
(Pejoni, 21 March 2009 19:12) "

The last I know the Serbian leaders are still welcomed with open arms at the northern crossing points. And they have no problems up to the Ibar. The same which, by the way, can't be said for Albanian leaders.

Anyone left thinking in their imagination Kosova will somehow be controlled by Belgrade ever again?
