I have no issue with Hyseni putting his case before the SC - just as long as he isn't allowed to represent himself as speaking on behalf of the non-albanians of Kosovo in any way, shape or form.

He of course has zero chance of getting rid of UNMIK.

ida:
EULEX had 2,364 staff at end of January (up from 318 on 15/6/2008).
UNMIK had 49 on 9/3/2009 (down from 1,880 on 27/10/2008).

And yes, many were just re-badged although I'd argue that most of these are just revealing their 'true spots'. In any event, no yanks left in UNMIK - which is probably a good thing.

You can certainly ask, but you will not get it.
Russia and China will not give in to you.
I can't believe that you still keep going on how one day you will have a seat next to Serbia in the UN.
Please just answer one simple question.
How are you going to get Russia and China to change their minds?
Stop with the wishful thinking and let's get to what is logical.
How are you going to achieve this when you know Russia will never allow it?

"I forgot to mention IMF won't lend EUR 2,000,000,000 until it recognizes Kosova.

Oh yes, you must have read this from the New Kosova Report .... very "reliable" and "objective" source indeed.

Actually Serbia has no qualms about Pristina joining IMF as long as it is under the name UNMIK/Kosovo (which was the name used by Pristina to join CEPTA) but not under the name of the Republic of Kosovo.

"PRISTINA, BELGRADE -- Kosovo's deputy foreign policy chief Vlora Citaku says that Priština will seek the withdrawal of the UN mission at the Security Council session on March 23."

The only good news for Kosovo are, Vlora Çitaku looks (VERY) good.

http://tinyurl.com/dk9o22

With all due respect, her mission won't be a success and it's not her fault. But a very nice try, indeed.

BTW: she is all over "linked-in" and "Facebook" - wish she would get a much better carrier and become rich (rather some full of ego and hot air) while leading certain major American corporations. Steve Ballmer anyone?

It's going to get crowded with both the UN and the EU, but I've heard some UN have left - does anyone know the numbers?

But many are the same people just switching uniforms.

"and I cant see why Kosova one day will have its seat right next to the Serbian one."

Perhaps Pejoni, but I think it's safe to say that if such a future were to happen, it could only come after extensive negotiation with Serbia, Russia, and the entire EU. There's only so far that Kosovo can go under current conditions before it hits an impassable road block from either Russia/China, or Cyprus/Slovakia/et al. If membership in these organizations is important to Pristina, then it's in their best interest to agree to terms that would make such a situation you envision to be possible.

See you have made some mistakes in your arguement, you have left out some pretty key nations in your list of "controllers", Spain is a major player as is Greece, the more important question here is not who supports you but why they support you, it has nothing to do with justice as you well know.

Albanians are speaking of pride above me, and making references to a growth rate which is rather futile if you actually look at it as a percentage, remeber that 100% of nothing is still nothing. As for the reference above insinuating an Albanian takeover of Macedonia I am sure this will make things more difficult for Albanians in the future, you are all living for the moment without any regard for the future and that is why the "kosova" project is doomed to fail as is all pan-Albanianism which is based around expulsion and intolerance of neighbors.

Problems and repercussions will follow for those who fail to compromise.

Mike, if serbia wasn't keen on joining EU, Kosova would have it much much harder. But the truth is that no European country wants to left out of EU. The countries that control EU (Germany, France, Italy, UK) are staunch supporters of Kosova. Do the math, see what's happening to Croatia over a small dispute with Slovenia

You are building a highway to Albania and you are proud. Don't think you are the only place in the world with a highway. Other then that two lane highway you keep braging about I don't see many more things to be proud of as an Albanian. No good athletes, actors/musicians, poets etc. Oh, there is Mother Theresa but then again she was Macedonian :)

Pejoni

Mike you forget, eventhough not recognized (yet) we are allowed to speak just as any sovereign country and member of UN. Now for you its propably nothing, but who could imagine this would take place 15 years ago? I dont know your age, but lets pressume your father would be asked the question? He would propably laugh just as many others at that time.

Today Mr. Tadic has to go there and defend Serbia for a lost cause. You see how things change, and I cant see why Kosova one day will have its seat right next to the Serbian one.

L*O*G*I*C,

You are an Albanian? Fine! But then you can still be a Serbian citizen.

Please get over this sick 19th century nationalism!

No new states, no new borders! One Europe!

I forgot to mention IMF won't lend EUR 2,000,000,000 until it recognizes Kosova.

Albania will finish their end of the Prishtine - Durres Highway in 1 month...officially connecting Gjakova City with Albania all the way to Port Shingjen.

Also Kosova has a 5.3% growth.
Never in my life have I been more proud to say IM PROUD TO BE AN ALBANIAN.

Did I mention Albanians have a really good chance at Presdicency position in Rep of Macedonia?
