I'd just like to add to all those who think that as part of NATO, you do what you please and go where you please.

Actually, you don't. You go where you are needed, and believe it or not, you will be needed in Afghanistan. Really really soon. Maybe Iran the year after.

Also, I am PRETTY sure, that those who are directly involved in a conflict are not allowed to be there.

In case it escapes you all, NATO ''peace''(lol) keeping is claiming to be neutral, therefore, Albanian troops would not be allowed to ''peace keep'' in Kosovo.

It's called ''conflict of interests''.

It is a lot like, if you're an Afghani soldier in American army, you will NOT be sent to Afghanistan. For obvious reasons.
That too, is 'conflict of interest'.

US is a joke? Last time I checked, you still have a ministry building in Belgrade with a huge hole in the middle no? And a TV tower as well? Thought so.

muchas gracias espana, hope that greece, slovakia, and romania take this decision too. Republic of KOSOVA dosen't need these kind of countries in its land!

My albanian brother of Kosova nothing to worry about, in 2 weeks Albania will be part of Nato and we can send to you as much troops as you want.. just make a phone call..
(The one, 20 March 2009 15:48)

You really think it's as easy as that. Albania gets in (maybe) and straight away they are going to send NATO planes to be at your disposal.
Greece has been a member way before Albanian has even a chance. Do you think they will say nothing?
Do you think that Albania will be more important than Greece?
No matter, NATO will not repeat the same mistake again.
US has no stomach for any more wars nor money, Russia is much stronger now than back in 1999.
In other words, the world has changed greatly.

Stop relying on your weak Albania to be in a position to do anything.
Stop with illusions. You have nothing.

Since the stability in Kosova is much better now since it became Independent so now the spaniards felt that they should leave.
They did not officially accept Kosova's Independence but by thic action they practically accepted the new reality. Soon they will officially accept it also.

Thank you Spain for your contribution, I'm sure that Albania a NATO member will deploy peacekeepers throughout Kosova if needed of course.

To the guys who think that serbia will reoccupy Kosova please do me a favour and try that ASAP, we Albos are waiting.

L*O*G*I*C,

Not to offend you, but you surely do not study international law. You know, only states have a constitution. Not provinces.

Kosovo is province. Something like Corsica in France. And South Tirol in Italy.

Greetings from Holland. A fully independent state!

I would like to remind you that Russia pulled out his troops 2003, under Putin's rule. If you call this a good decision, then I agree.

Regarding the Spanish troops leaving just:

Hasta la vista!

Cheers!

Gracias Espana!

Even though you haven't recognized Kosova (yet), we Albanians thank you for helping in the daily security affairs of the world's newest country.

Adios!

This is great news. All the haters are leaving, UNMIK & Spain. Now we'll have even less obsticale to implement our Kosova Constitution.

Alban

Spain left because they have been there for 10 YEARS and they don't recognize Kosova (yet.) Ultimately they plan on leaving just 2500 KFOR there.

I would like to emphasize that If only one US soldier may be left in Kosovo, Serbian wont dare to enter or not even control Kosovo.

LOL You should read some books about the wars in the Balkans and what the international community did or didnt do. US is a joke. They will be the first to state neutrality when it comes to the safety of their troops. If you think US are gonna war with Serbia when North Korea, Iran, Russia, recession etc are slightly bigger problems. Read before you speak! UN RESOLUTION 1244 will always be the only legal document for the province of Kosovo. NO MATTER WHAT! Kosovo is Serbia.

Only a matter of time before all KFOR troops leave. Then Serbian forces will restore power to Serbian villages in Serbian Kosovo.

Cvele,

In the meantime let the albanians be blinded by their failed regime. Russia did its job and now theres nothing albanians can do but wait for an end to this western ploy.

Good work Espana! I'm sure all the Albanian supporters will say something foolish in response to this decision. They don't want to be there to defend a fake state. If Span respected Kosovo, there would have been an official ceremony involving the Albanian community's representatives. Instead, Chacon flew to a military base. Maybe you'll say you don't need Spain's support, but they are a KEY EU member state.
