All Balkan states should enter EU eventually.

But espescially Albania is very much away from EU.

Hope Serbia (of course with Kosovo) and Croatia will join EU very soon!

And of course hope eventually Albania will join!

I do not think that Croatia has shown that it has come to terms with the wrongness in its past - a certain arrogance persists. In fact I think that Serbia has come much further.

Croatia has played along with 'requirements' and therefore will probably be 'rewarded' in the same way as it was when it was allowed to ethnically cleanse Krajina. Game playing motivated by expectations of 'status' are not the same as demonstrating an appropriate attitude.

Germany might think it a good idea to hurry Croatia in, but I trust that there will be more circumspection from elsewhere.

There certainly should be.

Dragan, Croatia has a much better economy than Serbia and it has been a candidate for over 5 years. Serbia still hasn't gotten their SAA unfrozen. Keep insulting EU (Jeremic) and you will see how far you go.

'The CDU officially supports accession of Croatia only, while Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro will have to wait, Merkel said.'

The Germans never forget their allies, do they? I guess the Nazi Ustashe concerts in Zagreb, attended by government ministers and 60,000 fans doing the sieg heil, do not bother the Germans at all, nor does the fact that no Serbs from Krajina can return home, cementing their second genocide against Serbs in the same century. Or the recent world handball competition which showed that 'tolerance' is not in the Croatian vocabulary. Yes, the Croats possess the 'European Values' we hear so much about.
Can it be any more clear who is pulling the strings here, and who wants to re-establish full control of the Balkans?
