New U.S. assistant sec. of state for Europe

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried was assigned to a new position.

I was wondering was he pro Bush or Obamas side since he was even before around.
now vojvodina can get some more atention to the world.

It's nice to hear of the obnoxious Daniel Fiend(ish) being moved to another part of the world, but the next guy will likely be just as bad towards Serbs.

With Obama at power the US interests remain the same. So whatever temporary slogans and tactics they choose they still view Europe only as a US domonion.

Their problem is that for the time being they cannot fight at a time in Afghanistan , Korea , Venezuela , Iraq , Kosovo , Georgia , Nothern Polus , Pakistan ect. Thus they need at least semi-allies like NATO-EU members definitely are.

But this will help little cause in the changed world the US influence will be 20-30% of what they still enjoy now. Anyway firing out Fried from this sencitive post is really good news for all Europeans.
