1: This vote is not binding.
2: Who's going to pay for it, especially with the current financial crisis?

The US?

The EU?

Allied countries?

Maybe EU Parliamentarians should contribute out of their own pockets considering how well paid they are and the previous scandals as to how they cheat on their own expenses (miserly wages for those employed, turn up and sign at Strasbourg and then go home thus avoiding the weeks work). Pull the other one!

"1) No need to spend any more money. There are other priorities now."
Technical questions for you Ataman:
how do you assign a monetary value to Mladic's capture? How much for him to go unpunished? You can ask for suggestions to the people of Srebrenica, or for Gotovina's case, you can ask the families of the Serbs.

"2) All countries ox ex-YU are either capable now to deal with their own war criminals."

You don't really believe that, you must have something else in mind. Where is the 'or' part of 'either..or'? Did B92 cut it?

"3) Hague has absolutely no respect, does not contribute to reconciliation and is called "Kangaroo" by every side."

Again how do you measure reconciliation? Hague has my respect, and I think it has contributed to reconciliation. The fact that Milosevic was sent to the Hague by the Serb prime minister of that time, was of some value to many Albanians (and others I think) towards reconciliation with Serbs. Unfortunately it didn't continue.
Plus, reconciliation is not Hague's main duty, its main duty is different. Reconciliation should be the task of the leading elites in the Balkans. You can't criticize the Hague for something it is not responsible of. Maybe you have something else in mind here too.

If this'court' represents 'European values' the sooner the UK is out of the EU the better. They have to keep demonising the Serbs otherwise attention may be turned on them!! What we (I mean the government- not many ordinary people) did in the UK- supporting Muslim terrorits against Christians in their own land will come back to haunt the whole of Europe.

They can vote all they like in the EU to extend this joke of a court but it will never get UN Security Council approval thus will not be extended!

The purpose of the proposal is to ensure that gross crimes against humanity do not go unpunished and to fully confirm the respect for international law and EU democratic benchmarks in Western Balkan states on the path to EU membership.

What a sham. The puppet tribunal at the Hague hasn't been able to imprison enough "Serbian" war criminals, while selectively judging the true war criminals as "innocent"!!! So this "European Club", that Tadic and others so desparately want to join, wants to have addition time and opportunity to again persecute the Serbian nation so that "they" can show us how great friends they are towards us. If they extend this "persecution mandate", that should be enough reason for the Serbs to say goodbye to the EU.

I have a strong feeling, someone in UN will say "Нафиг!" (pron: "Naapheeg" = strong "No way!" ). Hopefully we will also hear "Mei You" (pron. roughly: Mei Yau = "NO!") and that's the well-deserved death sentence to Kangaroo. Time to pack in Hague and go home.

1) No need to spend any more money. There are other priorities now.

2) All countries ox ex-YU are either capable now to deal with their own war criminals.

Isn't Croatia a step from EU, Slovenia in EU and others full with EU talk? According every report the justice situation everywhere is fine and dandy, except Kosovo - which is also dandy now because they have EULEX.

All that means: Hague is obsolete.

3) Hague has absolutely no respect, does not contribute to reconciliation and is called "Kangaroo" by every side.

Since 1)-3) are logical, I expect in EU illogical things to happen. But it's ultimately about UN, not EU.

There could be some intermediate steps like assigning lightly staffed EU and/or UN "monitoring offices" to each country.

The sooner this NATO court is closed the better and as far as I'm aware Russia will not approve an extension.

I hope Putin sticks by that decision so we can finally see an end to this fake court that is designed to serve selective justice against Serbians.

While their at it, they should go back to World War II and have Germany, Croatia and Albania on trial.

This sham of a Hague court is nothing more than a selective witch hunt, against the Serb populous.

Serbia has turned in 58 out of 60 and is still labelled uncooperative.

This place should be shut down as it's obvious it's bias against Serbs. As for Mladic, if they catch him in time, that's great for the Hague, if not, he can stand trial in Serbia.
