"as long as Kosovo status is not resolved Kosovo will not enter the EU. So Kosovars will never be able to work in EU."

So you want statehood only to abandon your state so you can live and work somewhere else?

I am work in EU and been recruited hard and work as Expat for that matter in France. I am Kosovar and no issue got work permit, visa in 10 days.

And not all kosovars in EU work cheep labor, contrary to your wishes. And even in this big crises I get head hunters calling me.

So you can work in EU, USA wherever you please when u are qualified.

This is from experience.

Ha ha ha! Look at the way a Kosovo-recognising country treats Kosovo-Albanians when they are found! Just proves the point that the only reason Austria recognised Kosovo was because of pressure from USA and NOT because they like Kosovars!

Well, all illegals should be send home of course.

But in some instances I think the laws in Europe are too strict.

As a side note: as long as Kosovo status is not resolved Kosovo will not enter the EU. So Kosovars will never be able to work in EU.

Kosovo should join EU as a part of Serbia as soon as possible.

A stand-alone Kosovo is like a third world country. It won't be ready for the EU the next 20 years!

"Only 32 asylum seekers from Kosovo were granted positive response by Austria's authorities in 2008."

For God's sake, what ethnic background these 32 do have? Because one charter plane to Tirana and one to Belgrade should solve automatically 99% of Kosovo asylum issues. Unless someone is a half Serb/half Albanian, married to a same sex person and devoted to a Buddhist sect which wants to convert every Christian and Moslem.

The higher living standard in Austria than in Albania or Serbia is a reason not strong enough for a political asylum. Who feel, their life in Kosovo is that much at danger, they want to leave it for any price - the neighbor Albania, FYROM, Montenegro, Serbia Proper is a decent choice, no need to go that far as Austria. Unless it's the money. Fine, but than why political asylum?

On the other hand: Austria should open itself for season laborers if there is work to do. And for more skilled jobs, too. Someone has to pay for retirement of Austrians. And if they have a way to small young population - what else choices they do have? Immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa?
