Are you saying the prosecutur need to keep his mouth shut till Del Ponte is done with her term as ambassador???
(Ilir, 3 March 2009 16:55)

@Ilir!
No, absolutely not! That’s not what I said. You may twist and dissect b92s. And my post to your liking, but you either purposely or ignorantly do not understand. I tend to believe it’s purposely.
Nobody is saying that anybody is guilty. In democratic society nobody is guilty until proven guilty. What prosecutor is saying that allegations and evidence are strong enough and that need to be investigated. I just wonder what you and some of your pro Albanian posters would be saying if the shoe was on the other foot.
As for Carla Del Ponte, trust me, she will talk. After all she is the one that opened this can of worms. The question is, why? Could it be that’s the truth?

Ilir

If you would have fallowed this story from the beginning you would have known that Carla Del Ponte was ordered by her government not to talk about her allegations until she is done with her term as ambassador.

When the time comes he can ask as many question as he wishes, and not to make these nonsence claims.
Only a mad man would beleive such claims!
I feel sorry for the families.

Hand the case to Hague!

Ahhh they have already investigated and found NOTHING.

Hand the case to the European commission!

Ahhh it seams that the Serbian "evidences" are so weak that don't deserve to be examined further. It was January that EC rep should've visited Albania and Serbia.

Did he lost his flight???

Complicity - defacto accessory these words truley reflect why no other western nations want to air their dirty laundry on the world stage, they simply ignore the reality and truth.
Twisting words and phrases like "Idid not have sex with that woman" or "We do not torture people"does not mean it did not happen.
Most governments are guilty by association but cleverly disguise their short comings with a barrage of manure.
These people and their governments should all be brought before an Peoples International Court of Law and their crimes made transparent for all the world to see.
We the people demand a truthful and honest society and Justice for all.To all those corrupt and evil persons go and hide yourselves in a hole and do not show your faces as you are not worthy as human beings.

Why on earth is Serbia asking Albania for cooperation? Even if they said they would, how could be we be sure that they are cooperating and not hindering the investigation? Why would anyone trust that they would hand over any evidence at all when they are up to their necks in it.
Just get the international community involved and be done with it.
(Peggy, 2 March 2009 20:51)

Exactly, why doesn't serbian persecutor work with international community on this, as requested by their Albanian counterparts, but preferes to make public and unproven accusations?

Serbia is playing it very smart. It's making some allegations and if nothing is proven true, the bad publicity still remains.

I'd like to point out, that it is not in the interest of any of the perpetrators who are removing organs to allow any of the victims to live.

It is ridiculous to think that someone would harvest organs, then let them skip back home.
Firstly, the most vital organs are the hardest to access legitimately, and second, I don't think doctors/soldiers and others who have brought these Serbs here for this atrocity want to be identifies.

Therefore, conditions and or equipment Albania may or may not have had are irrelevant to anything.

(Ataman, 2 March 2009 18:04)

well, ataman, i for one have said that this and all alleged war crimes need to be thoroughly investigated. now it is true that i am not albanian, but since i am always accused of it (as though it were an insult) then maybe that counts? also i have read some actual albanian colleagues commenting that the full truth here needs to be disclosed, for a variety of reasons. so don't stereotype all "the albanians."

as for carla, her credibility (with me) is low-low-low, but yes, she should be part of any investigation, and it may be appropriate to file legal charges against her at some point, we shall see.

i have to say that the timing of this latest round of albanian-bashing is a TAD suspicious, just after the ruling from the hague about the systematic war crimes committed by serbia during slobo's regime. i mean, isn't that timing just a TAD bizarre?

also, as i have stated many, many times, it is sickening that the issue of the missing -- of all sides -- continues to be so utterly politicized.

I think that your Prosecutor have made a lot of mistakes and i think he's a little bit confused. He has accused our PM Sali Berisha to have ordered our intelligence services to hide all the probes during that period. This is impossible because Berisha was not in power that period and accusing a PM of another country, i think is very dangerous and stupid in the same time. If someone do not have the basic information about that period and making such mistakes don't deserve any attentiom. Your Prosecutor should apologise to our PM. I do think that the families of the victims deserve to know the truth and those who've committed the crimes a bullet in the head. How many times do the Albanians need to be told that the transplant did not take place in Albania, only the harvest.

Now, if you don't care if the "donor" dies then what sort of conditions need to be met for the harvest? This goes to show that it is possible and probable that the harvest did indeed take place.

I can see that not one Albanian ever considers that this could be true. Wow, such blind bias.

Why on earth is Serbia asking Albania for cooperation? Even if they said they would, how could be we be sure that they are cooperating and not hindering the investigation? Why would anyone trust that they would hand over any evidence at all when they are up to their necks in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Americans are secretly providing leads to the Serbs to track these criminals down. This means the Americans new about what was going on, and now see an opportunity to distance themselves from the KLA, and their previous policies. After all, this is a new administration, and policies can change based on "new" evidence of KLA/Kosova government.
Further, now that your American backers have turned on you, K albs, who is going to help you on the inevitable negotiations on your status?

As far as I see, it is reported in the States - but not very widely (yet). BostonHerald is obviously from B(oston, USA) not B(elgorod, Ru). The worst accusation comes from Carla del Ponte - who was working inside of Hague Tribunal. She was not allowed to speak openly during her being there. She was accused many times having anti-Serb bias during her work.

Being someone who does biomedical research (if true) you would also have to know that the mortality rate for recipients who would have had transplants in tents and farmhouses would be close to 100%.
Also you would know that the leading transplant centers in the world barely manage 300 cases a year, and you think it is possible to do this in a small yellow house in Albania.
Being someone who has actually worked with transplant teams, I can tell you it is impossible for 300 cases to have been done in the hillsides of Albania

Daniel

Whenever the issue of organ harvesting appears, the Kosovo Albanian supporters immediately point out that Albania was in no position due to it's economic state to have the technology needed for organ transplantation. I disagree with this premise. As someone who does biomedical research, I counter that although Albania itself may not have had the technology, other people around the world do, and they travel with equipment. Although conditions may not be perfect for organ removal and transportation, it was ideal for the black market organ trade. Let's think this through logically. The legal organ market is very competitive. In the US, for instance, people have to wait their turn to get livers and kidneys, and unfortunately some people die waiting. If one has the money, he or she may bypass this system by looking at the black market. The black market is the black market for a reason. The adjective "black" indicates absence of light, meaning that the work is being carried out where it is not visible to the average person. That said, it will not be carried out in conventional hospitals or clinics, but in clandestine locations or even in the field in tents with gas powered generators. Thus, the likely conclusion is, if indeed these allegations are true, that foreign-trained specialists came to Albania or Kosovo to do these surgeries with their own equipment. Since the individuals financing these alleged crimes did so with illegally attained money, I'm sure they did their best to cover their paper trails. Thus, I doubt they would have done anything conventional. Therefore, surgeries were done out of sight and in the black, as in the black market.
It remains to be seen if this is all true. However, keep in mind that the person responsible for these allegations is Carla Del Ponte, a person who worked for the Hague, an organization that overwhelmingly punished Serbs. Let's just see if this is true. If it is false, the Albanian government can sue her for the lies. If it is true, however, the Serbs will feel some justice once the perps are jailed, and Kosovo's Albanians will be able to rid themselves of some nasty folks. Investigating this alleged crime is a win-win situation for everybody.

As for Carla Del Ponte, trust me, she will talk. After all she is the one that opened this can of worms. The question is, why? Could it be that’s the truth?

Hand the case to Hague!

Ahhh they have already investigated and found NOTHING.

Hand the case to the European commission!

Ahhh it seams that the Serbian "evidences" are so weak that don't deserve to be examined further. It was January that EC rep should've visited Albania and Serbia.

This is Serbia's pathetic attempt tp take the heat from the 'joint criminal enterprise' and 'crimes against humanity' that Hague announced. This strategy was just discussed and suggested by an ex- Interior Minister named Batic (?). he served from 2000-2003. Keep going Serbia, don't take responsibility and make wild accusations!

Yeah, the Albanians made him wear a Serbian uniform. Why the picture then? To scare soldiers or civilians?

Being someone who does biomedical research (if true) you would also have to know that the mortality rate for recipients who would have had transplants in tents and farmhouses would be close to 100%.
Also you would know that the leading transplant centers in the world barely manage 300 cases a year, and you think it is possible to do this in a small yellow house in Albania.
Being someone who has actually worked with transplant teams, I can tell you it is impossible for 300 cases to have been done in the hillsides of Albania

Daniel

pre 15 godina

Serbia has cared more about headlines than real investigation. Don't forget that they were investigated and nothing was found. Just syringes and blood that could be from treating KLA fighters or whatever. In the picture all we see is a dead Serbian soldier. Now they say he was a civilian forced to wear Serb army clothes and his organs removed? How did they figure that out? Just because he is dead?

Is it very tough to say somewhat like that - or maybe Albanians are being sworn to write anti-Serbian things only? If later is true, their credibility is ZERO."
(Ataman, 2 March 2009 18:04)

well, ataman, i for one have said that this and all alleged war crimes need to be thoroughly investigated. now it is true that i am not albanian, but since i am always accused of it (as though it were an insult) then maybe that counts? also i have read some actual albanian colleagues commenting that the full truth here needs to be disclosed, for a variety of reasons. so don't stereotype all "the albanians."

as for carla, her credibility (with me) is low-low-low, but yes, she should be part of any investigation, and it may be appropriate to file legal charges against her at some point, we shall see.

i have to say that the timing of this latest round of albanian-bashing is a TAD suspicious, just after the ruling from the hague about the systematic war crimes committed by serbia during slobo's regime. i mean, isn't that timing just a TAD bizarre?

also, as i have stated many, many times, it is sickening that the issue of the missing -- of all sides -- continues to be so utterly politicized.

thank you.

LIAR! The report was handed to you Sir from the Albanian counterpart during your recent visit to Tirana, and there are no "medical materials" .
If it were any "material" you would had taken some photos and show to the public!!! Why not?
I see that some guy on the comments above claims he has experiences in these fields, and blames the black markets.
Are you saying is not the Albanians fault than? The nearest countries to Albania who can do this are Greece and Italy. Feel free to have a chat with them and you soon would have a answer.
Why don't the Serb persecuter find the time and pay a visit to Carla Del Ponte in Argentina to question her about these alegetions, and put an end to this? After all it his job to do this.

Only a international investigation is possible, your Prosecutor don't have enough credit. All my best wishes to the families of the victims. I hope that the truth comes out.

If this is how Serbia wants to build good relations with it's neigbors, it will not happen for a long time. This is truly a "low blow" from Serbia.

Alban, I don't think Serbs can deflect media attention given to the results of the war crimes tribunal. If you have been reading the press coverage of that story, it was quite extensive.

I do not know, but what would happen if only a single Albanian would write somewhat like:

We are discussing the black market here. The black market doesn't follow normal rules. The black market is only interested in money, not safety. 1. If you were the one to decide: Would you dismiss allegations of organ trafficking outright or would you investigate those allegations.

2. If the man in the uniform was a soldier do you think that it is OK if he was killed?

I look forward to your response.

Best wishes

I'd like to point out, that it is not in the interest of any of the perpetrators who are removing organs to allow any of the victims to live.

It is ridiculous to think that someone would harvest organs, then let them skip back home.
Firstly, the most vital organs are the hardest to access legitimately, and second, I don't think doctors/soldiers and others who have brought these Serbs here for this atrocity want to be identifies.

Therefore, conditions and or equipment Albania may or may not have had are irrelevant to anything.
