Some Serbs return to Kosovo villages

Let's see how long the returning Serbs will stay before being chased away once more. Albanians have clearly proven time and again they want to rid Kosovo of its indigenous people, the Serbs.

I'm not saying Serbs did not misstreat the Albanians in Kosovo. But not to the point where Albanians could not leave their homes. What happend during the war is another story. The mass exodus of Albanians from Kosovo is thanks to the NATO bombing of Kosovo. What I'm saying is that Kosovo is not like Croatia and Bosnia. After the war there people began to work together and few incidents have occured there. I have never heard of KFOR escorting Serbs to the market in Bosnia or Croatia or vice versa? In Kosovo however, still today, Serbs need armed escorts to go to buy food or even when they go to church. Graveyards are being vandalized and there are no areas in Albanian controled Kosovo where Serbs live without protection. I Mitrovica there are Albanians living among Serbs. In Presevo Albanians are not protected by NATO soilders. Albanians always tell Serbs to look forward and forget the past, but you are the ones looking backward judging from the way Serbs are treated even as we speak.

I dont profess to understand even a fraction of the issues that shape policy and opinion around Kosovo but some things do appear to be very confusing all the same.So let me see if I understand this correctly. Uk as part of NATO bombed Serbia because of, amoungst other things, the displacement of Albanians from Kosovo. Now the UK government are claiming a success story of spending thouisands of pounds to resettle 10 Serb families back into what they consider to be their own country. Nearly a quarter of a million Serbs were forced from Kosovo and, as far as I can remember NATO never bombed Albania.The story says that 900 Serbs have returned to the area in question however then goes on to say that maybe half have not subsequently stayed. So, bomb the people who are being forced to leave their own country then pretend to offer support to repatriate them whilst at the same time supporting the UDI of the country that forced them out in the first place? Seems to me that UK government is a little confused as to what it really thinks about Kosovo. Maybe if the US didnt have such a hold over the UK government and if the US didnt have Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo then things might be allowed to find a more balanced and natural level of agreement in Kosovo? Which leads me to one last question...who gave the US permission to grab such a large chunk of land for Camp Bondsteel...was it Serbia or was it Albania or did they just walk in and help themselves? No, they would surely need someone's permission first...wouldn't they??

They should return and those paramilitaries who commited crimes, burned down our homes should be brought to justice. Those who don't accept the democratic will of the people of Kosovo do not need to come back, since we don't need troublemakers.

13,000? Around 7000 died in TOTAL and that included non Albanians. The next time you'll say it's 25,000 Albanians, then 50,000, then 100,000, etc. there's no end to the Albanian propaganda machine. It just creates larger and larger lies everytime it opens it's mouth.

Albanians have no reson to chase them out of Kosovo. We maybee did that after the war in small scales but what do you expect after what the serbian criminal goverment did to the albanians in Kosovo under the years 1981 until 2000 ? Some burning churches and some small portion of houses who was burned cannot be compared to 13000 albanians murdered and whole albanian city's and villiges burned ?

We haven't done nothing to the serbs what the serbs have done to us albanians.

Slobo's police used to catch a lot of these criminals at work, and this really irritated them. Now Kosmet is flourishing with alban mafia, and for the time being there are no Serb police to arrest them.

NATO/EU Kosovo is responsible for well over 230,000 refugees since 1999 due to murder, rape, and torture. There is nothing to be sarcastic or joking about when it comes to the unpunished crimes from Albanian/NATO/EU Kosovo. Your comment shows how far from "functioning" the Kosovo Albanians really are.

a) during the war I served as a paramedic. I personally saw todlers injured by gunfire. Their mothers told me that it was not NATO.
b) Let's not derail the discussion here. Whoever kills, Albanian, Serb or Swiss be, is a killer and I won't shed tears if sent to jail.
c) discussions like "Albanians want to run Mafia", "Serbs want to kill Albanians", or "Saint Milosevic's police rescued the world from the Albanian bad seed" are simply not smart enough to be read.
d) If something bad happens it is clearly the majorities' fault. If ALbanians were driven in droves at the border, correct me if I am wrong but it is clearly Belgrade's responsability and someone has to go to jail for it.
e) If Serb peasants are being shot at when they try to buy food, it is clearly Albanians' fault and someone has to bear responsability.
f) belittling crimes is morally wrong ("oh no we are good when we kill, are you not ashamed of your own crimes?").
Folks, are we going to blame it on each other and hurt each other to the end of time or one way or another get over with and start being normal Homo Sapiens?

Astrit, if you are so convinced that the Albanians were the ones who got expelled and chased out of Kosovo, then please explain tome how come there is more of them in Kosovo now than before?

How come before WW2 the ratio was around 50% Albanians and Serb alike and now we have 95% Albanians and only 5% Serbs?

So by numbers alone you cannot possibly claim that Albanians were the ones ethnically cleansed. My dear fellow, point you finger at Pristina not Belgrade when you talk of ethnic cleansing.
