my dear k-albanian friends, don´t you find it amazing too, how you are stubbornly refusing to open your eyes towards the truth?

I mean, ...misinterpreting the question for an armed escort as a question for permission... I´d call that wishful thinking.

also, still dreaming of being a "state" with "authority" over Kosovo... well if you ask me, it is the international community who has the authority, no-one else.

except: legally it´s serbian territory, that´s what it will stay until the circumstances change. and they will change, that´s something you can count on.

you can try to pick a fight, but you will fail.

Serbia is in the better position, it can wait. and all you can do is starting a conflict.

The govt. of Serbia is a Foreign govt. and Obviously will be treated as such.

"serbian minister for kosovo" is an imaginary position and has no more meaning than would the serbian minister for Alabama.

the ONLY representatives of kosovo are those elected BY the people of kosovo... not some foreigners.

Let get this straight Pristina now wants to arrest a freely Elected President for what reason? So if Spanish President or Slovakian or Romanian President or official comes to Pristina you will arrest them? Just because they have not endorsed your republic then truly Kosovo will never be truly legitmate unless you play with the rules from Pristina. Sad for those who are trying to survive and stepping on the graves of those to worked to make this possible for Kosovo. blooming idiots i say.

It's true that Boganivic's entry to Kosova was denied and yes it's true also that Sheremet Ahmeti said that Tadic would be placed under arrest if he tries to cross into Kosova without permission.

Is this going to become like the mexicans illegally crossing into the United States?.

At the moment Kosova isn't accepting any newcomer so if I were you I would try that again later.

Bogdanovic must have applied for escort to go to the Serb enclaves that is not territorially linked to Serbia proper. Refusal of escort is not the same as refusal of permission. It is however a convenient excuse to torpedo the travel plans and therefore it was used.

I don't think any Serbian minister will have problems entering north Kosovo though. In fact, it is the Albanian ministers themselves who will need escort if they dare to venture north of the Ibar!

That's the reality. De jure Kosovo is part of Serbia via 1244. However de facto the K-Albanians control most of Kosovo, except the Serb enclaves and, of course, north Kosovo itself.

ZMAJ - What you're suggesting is possible but it's not smart to jump into something like that this soon. Serbia needs to cement it's EU integration or better yet wait untill they become an EU member before installing any security force or similar to that in northern kosovo. At the moment the government is physcially being passive and relying on kosovo legally, which is smart. I think it's a good idea for Kosovo's minister to work on infrastructure pojects where Serbian citizens live, rally Serbian companies to invest in these areas to secure jobs,(where is Miskovic? He can afford to gamble some investments where Serbs live), Begin housing/appt projects for refugee returns(north and eastern kosovo) and offer social programs to raise birth rate among Serbs.
I believe Serbia's international credibility will get stronger and more influencial. The only problem for the Serb gov. will be security in Kosovo, untill they join the EU.

There's no need for their escort.., if there's a Serbian police force for that purpose.. should be time to exercise "this and that - here and there". We must move from "that" zero now or later and shake the situation a little. Permanent security force in Northern Kosovo and Teams or individuals for enclaves, to begin. Well trained "personnel" on the way. Things are simple and there's no bombing any more once it would be the last NATO bombing of ANY country! We're not in the same world as "yesterday". Situation is vulnerable and we should use that to implement Constitution and Law on whole Serbian territory. Escort?! We can escort them - with guarantees and they can try ICJ, for a change.. Ministers MUST go and they MUST be secured on the way to enclaves which MUST be safe ALL of the time! There's no existence of Serbia if we do not put western world "on the west" , finally. There's no other way! This is Serbian (Slav) territory and it's part of SLAV transversal going all the way to Tokyo!! (Kamchatka) This is the only real world we should EVER recognize with our escort and THEIR enclaves - not ours.. Don't worry, there's no Yeltsin to "help" us any more and the "smoking ban" type of policies are transformed in one and general - SURVIVAL!! (Of the western world) The donkey is, finally, in the mud...

De jure (in theory) Serbian officials don't need permission to enter Kosovo, but de fact (in practice) they do.

Just because a piece of paper/ a file on a compute called UNSC Resolution 1244 says that Kosovo is a part of Serbia does not make it reality. In fact its quite the opposite.

Serbia has lost Kosovo, but they refuse to accept reality because of an old UNSC resolution, which is out of date.

Kosovo is not Serbia.
Kosovo is not Albania.

Art,

I don't recall any Serb official from Belgrade coming to Kosovo and preaching hate. Can you find me any example of where any official comes to Kosovo and incites hatred against Albanians? It's Thaci who of late has been playing the ethnic card, liberally throwing around "genocide", calling for Tadic's arrest, and deepening the stigma between the two sides. The moment a Serb official comes to Kosovo and preaches hate as you say, should be the moment UNMIK/EULEX bars him/her from traveling.

I feel both sides are making efforts at trying to show who controls what in Kosovo and the fault lines are drawn not only at the Ibar but also where each community resides. No good can come from simply trumpeting one's own side.

So basically Ivanovic told the truth that in fact Bogdanovic had requested to travel through Kosova but it was not approved.
So someone is not telling the truth here, its either Ivanovic or Bogdanovic, but it looks like its Bogdanovic.
So I hope serbs are seeing the reality now that in fact the minister of Serbia Bogdanovic was DENIED entering Kosova.
Thanks.

Do you wantreasons why Oliver?
One of the reaons is over 13000 albanian civilians killed from serbian army, over 800000 people deported from serbian army, and more and more reasons like those, but the most important reason it is , Kosova has its own constitution, and can provide security , for all the politicans who will respect the laws of the land they enter.

Mike you can't possibly think that Serb radicals coming to Kosovo from Belgrade and preaching hate is constructive dialogue?
My Gosh how the humanity has faltered.

Here you simply have to opposing positions. The Kosovo govt says they're independent while the Serbian govt says 'Kosovo is Serbia'. Let's see how much authority each have in Kosovo.

Sooner or later there will be a conflict if no negotiated solution is reached. For Serbia I think it is better to wait as long as possible, try to stall the conflict. Because the position of Serbia is getting stronger every day while the albanians position is getting weaker. This will accelerate when the financial crisis will decrease foreign subsidies for Kosovo.

Mike

pre 15 godina

Ivanović said that he is worried that "this is in fact the start of a conflict that Kosovo's Albanians are pushing for on purpose, intent on diverting the attention of their public from the grave economic situation by starting trouble".

Of course it is. Playing the ethnic card when things aren't going your way is standard practice that's been used for centuries. Albanians certainly aren't the only ones who do this, though Pristina of late has turned this into a professional vocation.
