From following the procedures in parliament there seems to be alot of obstruction going on by the Radicals which is holding up vital business regarding the economy and Kosmet and is forcing an overrun of the agenda. what is needed right now is a united and concerted front by Serbia in these testing times. Laluc is spot on, a house divided can never stand.

Implying that the government deliberatley undermined the mission to Kosovo is frankly nonsense. Belgrade is determined to uphold its territorial integrity and is playing its hand very well given its position thanks to Mr Jeremic. Serbia calls the shots in Kosmet hence why UNMIK & EU are consulting with Belgrade over the EULEX mission. Serbia thus far has played the proverbial blinder. EULEX will be status neutral and will operate within UN Resolution 1244 which upholds Serbia's territorial integrity. This in one fell swoop has relegated Thaci & Co. to a second rate side show. 'Kosova' is going nowhere (stuck in legal and political limbo) and right now Serbia is in the driving seat calling the shots.

I'd say job well done.

My 2 cents.

bg, not sure why it had to be scheduled at the exact moment the government knew many of the MPs would not be around to vote. It simply could have been left for another day.

The purpose of going to Kosovo is to demonstrate the provincial border is open and if Kosovo was truly independent then that would not be the case. It is just a message being sent to the world by some politicians and it wasn't meant to change the situation. We can leave that to the army at some other time.

ZK if the MP's had actually passed this law, due to the continous delays by SRS, this position would not have come about.

But in Serbia gullability is about believing what MP's say. They have the power and I do not believe the announcements from SRS headquarters.

Besides, as Mike put so well yesterday, we all know that in the long run the visit to Kosovo, will not make any difference. Having said that I do like the solidarity shown to Serbs living in very harsh conditions.

But I will not fall into line just because some politician screams KOSOVO. Never have, never will.

Buses to Kosovo were purposely scheduled for 05:00 CET and the parliamentary vote at 10:00 CET to prevent as many ruling coalition MPs travelling as possible.

What a shameful thing to do! This sell-out "government" really needs to go. They are obviously incapable of running a country while they continue to lie to the public.

It's a shame so many people are gullible.

Any excuse to try to misdirect the public with patriotic proclamations on Kosovo! Bravo.

The fact is that if MP's were to actually work, rather than insult each other all day and pick up huge expenses and wages, we might listen to them. We might even respect them.

As it is nobody believes or much cares, as they constantly tell lies and could not give a fig about anybody apart from themselves.
