This is an open-minded comment.

First to the Serb Supporting Side: You Cannot Have Kosovo back for plenty of reasons but i will mention only 2 or 3:

First whats done is done, Kosovo has been declared as a Legal State and it cannot be dissmised as a non-legal state.
2nd is that the country's that have approved Kosovo as a Legal state cannot take back their decision.
3rd Russia Cannot do anything on the matter of Kosovo not joining UN or EU because its not the only firkin country that has a say in it!

Now i also have some comments (More on the side of complaints) for the Kosovo Government:

I don't know if its come in mind but Kosovo has Raw Solid Proof that it was in its current territory for 5 millenia and it still is, There are also documents that from the side of Nis ( Serbian Territory) a singed document by SERBIANS GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS at the time said that they will return the lands taken but they never did! This is braking the Law and the Kosovo goverment is so stupid that it cannot SUE Serbia for yet STILL not returning the lands it is also stupid for not SUEING Serbia for Multi-Genocideic stuff that happened in the Kosovo also Before it!

Now that's my say you can dislike it or you can favor.

"On the other hand it is an honor to be recognized as independent state by the civilized world. Just for the record some statistics: 81.5% of EU states, 84.6% of NATO states,62% of OSCE members, 87.5% of G8 states, countries that have recognized Kosovo till now make up to 70.94% of the world total nominal GDP
(Tim, 18 February 2009 14:17)"

So in other words, to be considered civilized, one must be a rich country like most of those in EU and Nato ..... ironically Kosovo isn't exactly flushing with money is it? Do you therefore consider yourself uncivilized?

Fawning on the rich gets you nowhere. It only makes you their lackey but of course you can delude yourself that you are their equal if your ego requires it.

"You are partially right - it is unfortunately in stolen hands, for the time being - but not for long"

You can't write patriotic and emotional sentences without a solution. What does "not for long" mean? And how can it ever go back to Serb hands? I simply don't see such a scenario occurring.

It is our (Kosovar) honor not to be supported or either recognized by the corrupted hypocrites and human right violation state such is Russia. Yes, yes posters from the k-ghetto brigade.

Olympic budget cut by 15%. It will go ahead anyway.

Not so sure about the London Olympic budget. You got a spare dime for that charity.

Chechnya blah, blah. Yes the rebuilt, largely civilized and secure, for most citizens, part of southern Russia. Good example for K-Albo's on how to accept the inevitable outcome for your still born project.

It will happen...

I didn't know that north Kosovo is in Albanian hands.

And I think it suits Belgrade just fine to have the rest of Kosovo remain outside the UN.

This too shall be resolved soon. It was but a year ago that Russia and Serbia both were screaming the EU police mission was a violation of international law.
EU supported it, US supported it, Kosovo govt insisted on it, UNMIK planned to implement it anyway. What to do?
A few meetings between Ban and Jeremic which amounted to nothing (very apparent) and lo and behold Serbia emerges victorious and forces the Albanian govt to accept the EULEX mission, with Russia's full support.

I am sure a similar solution is in the future where Serbia will be able to negotiate some type of "forced" Independence on Kosovo with Russia's blessing.

Russia should NEVER accept Kosovo in UN. Kosovo is and will be an illegal entity as long as there is no mutual agreement (with Serbia).

But Russia was also wrong to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Hey, at least I am consistent :)

If I allow you to take something which is mine then no law has been broken, but if you try to take it without my permission, it doesn't matter how many of your mates agree with you, it's still illegal.

So the international law works the same way. If Serbia agrees then yes, you can have Kosovo, but if Serbia disagrees then you are breaking the law.
Russia is not being vague here.

There was no pressure and no attacks on Osetians after the Georgians troops withdrew, and there was not even a war in Abkhazia.

"There was no cause to declare Osetia's & Abkhazia's independence,"

Serbia's territorial integrity was destroyed by Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic himself when he decided to order the ethnic cleansing of the peaceful Albanian population in Kosovo in 1998-1999.
