Just enjoy dependence-forever.
(dd, 18 February 2009 03:36)

Wrong. Nelli enjoys being "dependent" on Canadian living standards which are a bit higher than in Kosovo. Most likely, her children will be (or already are) Canadians. But they will proudly show their frinds some pictures of Peja, Prishtina, Mitrovicë where their roots once were.

I am not to worried about their future.... ;)

That way it's not tough for her to argue about Kosovo. And to be fair... in great deal that applies to many Serbian posters here. I am not Serb, but to be fair again - my life does relatively little depend on "reality on the ground" in Kosovo/Serbia/Hungary/Europe/Russia. Economically I am nearly 100% American and as bad as it is, compared with the economic "reality on the ground" in above areas I am still better off.

As long as Serb politicians come to Zvecan and try to prove their own people how strong they are, why don't Serb citizens ask them to come in Caglavica (Prishtina), and see how Kosovar Serb politicans live? You should see their beautiful houses and yards, this proves everything. Serbs only want a good life, it doesn't matter under who's control. The irony remains to the ordanary people, for both sides Albanians and Serbs, who live in poverty and hate each other everyday.

Nelli,

If you decided for self-isolation, long-term dependance, misery and mess I am OK with it. Just tried to show that western supporters see things same way as I see.
But it's not worth to live in real world - it looks.

Just enjoy dependence-forever.

The provincial border is open to Serbians while the Albanians keep themselves isolated in a pretend world.

On your own isolation my dear Albanians. Serbians are free!
(ZK, 17 February 2009 17:12)

Isolated in a pretend world??? does that mean that this pretend world is not real??? So yes, you're right. because we live in a real world opened to everyone even to serbians who come to kosovo and sell cheap patriotic propaganda to the poor kosovo serbs. ZK you seem to be a very intellegent person but just in a negative sense of the 21st century diplomacy. We do not need another war because we have won already. So you can come anytime to kosovo. We are building a new democracy.

@ dd:

About 96% of Kosovars woke up and faced the reality on Feb 17th of last year, again that's about or exactly 96%, it's a huge percentage isn't it?. This huge percentage my friend includes the Albanian majority and all the minorities except serbs. This is not just an Independence for Kosova but a deservable one.
So many people called the UDI win and lose situation, we already know the winner. The very first letter congratulating president Sejdiu on the first anniversary came from Oval Office with Obama's signature on it. I hope I'm wrong but because of this great man that made History in USA Kosova will get more recognitions than expected, everyone seems to like Mr.Obama including Serbia:)

These declarations are becoming a joke!

And as some others here have mentioned, all minorities in Kosovo, except Serbs, are fully integrated into the society.

As for a return to the negotiating table as appealed by 'dd', why? Serbs think that Kosovo is not independent, while Kosovars think they are, and look who's asking for new status talks. I guess the latter is much content currently so thanks but no thanks.

dd

Nelli,

Go back to foreign media article and then revise your post. You need more objective look of stalled dependence - from Paris, Wiena and German media - all your supporters. They are not happy what they see, that your dream-illusion is not going anywhere. So, please be realistic and get to negotiating table - sooner - better. Just need to wake up first and face reality.

“Kosovo’s independence has further heightened tensions, especially among Serbs and other non-Albanians, as violations of human rights, freedom of movement, right of return, and the right of return of property usurped by Albanians is still not going in the direction that Serbs and other non-Albanians would like,” said Bogdanović.

I think this guy needs to see signatures of all non Albanians in Kosova, what in the hell is this guy talking about when the whole world knows that all minorities support Kosova's independence. I don't think that democratic world is really paying any attention at the serb destabiliziers making up only 4% or so of Kosova's population.
It's OK to speak up for yourself but it's not OK to terrorize Kosova.
All other minorities have their representatives in Kosova's Assembly and they're fully integrated into Kosova's institutions.

Bogdanivic keep talking all day and all night but no one is watching or listening your show.

Today's news and the different positions of the communities of Kosovo seem to have crystallised a few things for me. Firstly the Independant State of Kosovo (a) is illegal by any international measure of law and order. Secondly the idea of the Albanian community being able to live in and embrace the multi ethnic community of Serbia as natives of the Serbian province of Kosovo seems a million miles away. They have been sold the illusion of independance and the freedom to treat every ethnic group in Kosovo as an uninvited guest. If this illegal independance is taken back, then it will be liking taking a beautiful fantastical(made in the USA) toy back from a child's hands. It will start a flood of tears and I fear alot more suffering for all.

Mike

It's going to take a lot more than a symbolic show of unity and another declaration stating the painfully obvious. If the Serb Assembly wishes to be a functioning government to counter Pristina it either needs to be given teeth to stand up on its own, or BG just needs to formally move in. But riding the bus down to Kosovo, making a few speeches and taking a few pictures won't do anything.

I just love how these Serbian politicans and all Serbians for that matter can freely enter the province without a problem in the world. It just goes to show that the dependend entity of "Kosova" is just an imaginary Albanian dream.

It is these actions that are promoting hate in Kosovo. Belgrade by actions of this kind is not helping the Serbs that live in Kosovo live a normal life. And in the end of the day, they blame Kosovo Albanians, ironic isn't it?

This might seem comical to the Albanians right now, but it's just what we Serbs need to do, to confirm that we will not give up on our province of Kosovo, in the long run. Unlike many, we do not just think about NOW, but 20, 50, 100 years ahead. As long as we don't sign over Kosovo, it will always be ours.. no matter how hard or long the fight may be.

This is not true because I am turkish and I am very happy about KOSOVA INDEPENDENCE that we are finally free from serbian regime so please stop spreading lies because there is no non albanian in KOSOVA that doesnt support independence of course except of serbians itself.
