So, as we can all clearly see, Kosovo is a powerless entity. It cannot even stop Serb authorities from entering Kosovo. If it were this powerful entity with full support of the EU and US, how could this happen? Shouldn't the EU and US stop Serbs from entering Kosovo? Have they? The day is still early and this may happen, but so far I don't see this glorious Kosovo power. One can write all the lofty stuff s/he desires, but facts are facts. As the Albanian Kosovars used to like to say, there is talk and then there is the "reality on the ground." The reality on the ground shows something completely different from all the rhetoric.

One thing I don't understand ? How come serbs say entire Kosovo belongs to Serbia when no serb can travel to prishtina ?
(Demi, 16 February 2009 19:39)

Why is that Demi?
Is this because you are so wonderful and hospitable?

Demi - "How come serbs say entire Kosovo belongs to Serbia when no serb can travel to prishtina ?" In your haste you betrayed the true nature of Kosovo's so called democracy. Kosovo is just one large criminal haven and as soon as you get a chance you will try to expel every non albanian from Kosovo to try to make it monoethnic like albania.

EA - "What truth is Kostunica talking about? Serbian truth? Ahhhh OK we know what he really mean....because it he is a professional lier." Not nearly as good at telling stories as the albanians "we rule the whole territory of Kosovo and are in charge" - Really, so where is mighty Kosovo's security services, or the UN or EU? shouldn't they stop "another country" claiming Kosovo's soil?

legaluvin - "In that case Albanian deputies from Tirana should hold a meeting in Mitrovica" let's see albanian parliamentarians try to cross the ibar. it'll be a turkey shoot.

People thought that the political elite has changed in Serbia and has made it clear to the world that they have sewered all the ties form the bygone era of Milosevic. This goes to confirm that the oppressive forces towards kosovar albanians are still strong, therefore, in my view, this is to be taken and will be taken very seriously indeed by the international community given the nature of provocation it bares. However, it must be said that kosovars will prevail again on the face of this destructive measures taken by the serbian government which in turn is only fueling the radicals with their rigid views towards albanians.
Most of the commentators on the site have become like broken records, with few exceptions. It seems that people are determined to prove that they are right with no regard to how the current trend of rhetorics is affecting actual people in the ground. Its easy for most of you to comment on the fate of people from the comfort of your cozy chairs. Lets take a step back and reflect as to what happened only a decade ago and then try and learn from the mistakes made then with the view to avoid such situation. I feel for the kosovo serbs, however whilst Belgrade manipulates and uses them for their political gains they will continue to suffer. Lets remember that the country belongs to the people and after all we all seek to make our own choices without the fier and intimidation of others (individuals or states)and this principle should be supported all the way.

The only thing that may happen is, that the MP's of the Serbian parliament are acting like they usually are doing and blame themselves and their country for the X-hundred times. This is the view of Western-European journalists on the work of the Serbian parliament: "Chaos im serbischen Parlament - Der tiefe Fall des Hohen Hauses", Sueddeutsche Zeitung, 13.2.2009.

I wonder which influence these heated heads of the Serbian politicians will have on the K.Serbs of the North. I expect no positive outcome, but an incitement of the potential violence of certain elements in the North. BUT, it is also a way to remain in the attracting interest of the world, even on a negative manner.

I still don't understand where is the symbolism of this gesture when it comes to Kosovo?

If they wanted to show that Kosovo is still Serbia they should have gathered in Pristina.

By meeting in Zvecan the Serbian parliamentarians are only showing that they don't intend to give up Northern Kosovo. But we already know that.

LDP is telling the things as they are. This is just a show aimed at winning the wide nationalist vote. Nationalists will not vote for LDP anyway, so why bother to join the political circus.

The trappings of state, a flag anthem, diplomts, and a standing army did not stop these Serb politicians from travelling freely across the "border". Th South of the Ibar, amidst the celebration of statehood, the K albs are muttering about this violation. LOL

In that case Albanian deputies from Tirana should hold a meeting in Mitrovica as well and see how things run after that! Kosovo is Albanian and there no Serb who can change that. Cheers to that!

What truth is Kostunica talking about? Serbian truth? Ahhhh OK we know what he really mean....because it he is a professional lier.

LDP as an unconstitutionally party should simply be forbidden! Same thing happened to unconstitutional parties in Germany and France. LDP is a shame for Serbian politics and is not working for the interests of Serbia and its population!

I hope UNMIK let's them indeed. It is Serbian territory. Let's not forget that!

Hope Spain, Slovakia and other nations will send in their diplomats too!

This only showes how desperate the Serbian goverment is in front of the Big Day tomorrow. They want to make a point here but nobody will notice they were in Kosovo. They can fool the K.serbs but never the albanians.

I bet next year the Kosovo security forces will secure the border to Serbia and I bet this serbian so called officials will need a visa to come to north or south Kosovo.
