We know very well here in Italy the situation(49% stake in South stream)..at the moment it's all up in the air ...without an economic recovery and an hike in prices, everything it's in a stand still..Regarding the diplomatic-political situation there is no-problem for the implementation of the project we all know this..it's the economical side and the money that matters...(as usual)

Your right Rashan,

Gazpromneft are now puttng their money where their mouth is - they have paid up the fee and stating the investment money will swiftly follow which there is no reason to doubt given their form.

But all along the likes of Bganon still hold onto the "words of PR" of western deals like FIAT who bribed and scaremongered the electorate that deals like it were a once in a lifetime deal and would ensure job security. Bganon you have you head in the sand just like western politicos and economists (trained to not think critically and just say yesy and pat each other on the back with bonuses) who have no idea why and what is hapening and are at a complete loss as to why their economic model of a world of inequality, rich get richer at the expense of others and so called "free markets" is collapsing.

Bganon, at least Gazpromneft has real and substantial money to invest and buy - conceed that at the very least!

Well it kind of makes me smile that some people are so impressed by multinational corporations and swallow the speeches that professional PR men write without thinking.

The rest of us will save the praise until south stream is functional, rather than take the word of profit making companies.

Wow

South stream will cost 24 billion Euro to construct and yes it will be a reality.

Russia will be supplying 309 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe alone in a few years once nord and south stream is finished.

Russia and Turkey have just signed a strategic partnership of 20 biilion to build a nuclear power plant of 4 reactors plus 40 billion in gas deals over the next fifiten years.

And this is only just the beginning with Russian/Turkish strategic partnership.

Where are the usual suspects posting here? You know who you are.

The silence is deafening but I can't stop smiling....

Oh yeah, and Serbia is central to this strategic partnership in south Europe. Now that's what I call a footnote...
