Hungarians arrest 34 illegal immigrants

Hungarian police have arrested 34 illegal immigrants from Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Kosovo over the last three days near the Serbian border.

It has pretty much nothing to do with Kosovo recognition. The later was of course wrong, but regardless, Albanian-Serbian scene is not really a major factor here. There were and still are some Albanian gangs in Hungary but the word "mafia" is rather associated with Ukraine, China and some local minorities.

As far as illegals... it is said, 50-100 Euro inside Serbian or Kosovo passport will wonderfully substitute a visa. On the other side, having a visa but not having 1000 Forint/5 Euro bill inside the S/K passport will guarantee, your car is stuck on the border for hours. They do the same even with Hungarian documents of Vojvodina residents. They are allowed only certain number of visits / year and the price of NOT stamping the passport is precisely the above 1000 Ft / 5 Euro.

And one would think, Hungary is not Balkan. Knowing some dirty games of Austrian police, Balkan, indeed, begins in Vienna.
