I salute you Miri,
What can I say, I am speechless,,, what a man and what about that tash.
I didn’t know that he was a prince but now that you kindly provided the link everything becomes clearer. He might be a descendent of the imperial family related to Michael Comnenus and then by default to George Arianit Komeni, the Prince of Laberia.
since the Despotate of Epirus is where all they came from originally, I suspect our Mike would have something to say about this as it relates to his favourite subject of Northern Epirus.

How deeply embarrassing it must be for most Montenegrins when they see Greece's historical faithfulness to Serbia in action, and due to the fact that their leader is not only silent on such issues but actually goes against the will of the majority in his country to encourage independence. How crooked can one become.

'My bet is on Montenegro but there are some other good candidates out there.'

ZK, although sometimes we disagree or I find your posts a bit hopeful, you might be right here. It looks as if the Montenegrin opposition has finally got its act together with non ethnic Serb parties (Medojevic) joining the Serb coalition to take on Djukanovic. Let me add that I think the Serb parties were mistaken in not joining forces with Medojevic earlier but hope they have learned by their mistake.

Were they to win the next election and Serbia wins the ICJ process we could expect a reversal of Montenego's recognition of Kosovo. Of course this would cause all kinds of problems in Montenegro, with anger shown from the Albanian minority.

Probably to some neutrals or Albanians it sounds like a long shot, but I believe we all know it is possible.

"Of the EU’s 27 member-states, only five have not recognized Kosovo—Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Slovakia and Romania"

So the Serbian panel think that it is more realistic for the 25 countries to reverse their decision in recognising Kosova rather persuading the minority of five to accept the REALITY and join the voice of the majority? I am not going to talk about the relevance of each EU country but the statistics tells a lot.

Ron,

Why should she be? Individual recognition is not a matter of the EU.
There were 281 Pro and 229 Against. The unrecognising five have toghether (if everybody is present) 133 votes. I let everybody draw his/hers own conclusions.
(seems that my english is not allowing me to express sarcasm as I tried yesterday)

The rumour has it that the famous Captain Costentenus has volunteered to secure the Greek recognition on behalf of Kosova government .
Being an influential and important figure of Greek Albanian descent he is confident to accomplish this task.
His appearance is remarkable too. Tattooed from Head to Foot in Chinese Tartary as punishment for engaging in a Rebellion, he’s bound to scare off any objector to his plan.
If that did not impress you I’m sure his life story will. He was a circus performer in the 1880's and was a famous travelling attraction who claimed to have been kidnapped by Chinese Tarters and tattooed against his will.

When will the EU recognize Tibet?
Aren't we doing the Tibetan people more harm then good?

What about Kurdistan by the way?

NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR KOSOVO!

blero,

According to Albanian media a small Indian Island nation of a population smaller than the north of Kosovo will recognize you,.. WOW you should dance in the streets now!

As for where I get my news, I'll tell you, unlike you, who only pays attention to Albanian Media, I follow, French, Italian, German, British, Russian and even Albanian Media, and yes Serbian too! But mostly I get my news from Canada, thank you very much.

EP resolutions are non-binding my friends. In other words, useless. However, we only need one EU member to stand firm but instead we have 5! Now what a great bonus that is when considering that every single MP from those countries voted against this ridiculous resolution.

Tell me my friends, what pressure is there on a non-binding resolution? Let me tell you, absolutely none and in fact, I think it's going to make the wonderful 5 dig their heals in even deeper.

Kosovo independence is a lost cause my friends. It wont be long before recognitions are revoked but the question remains, who will be first? My bet is on Montenegro but there are some other good candidates out there.

it would have been a sensation if greece - pretty alone on this planet - would have taken seriously the tra-la-la-parliament.

ok, greece wouldn´t have been alone, the albanian camp takes them also seriously.

talking of pressure from an unbinding resolution of an unrelevant institution is funny, but not nearly as funny as believing that one day they will enter eu or nato.

and we are talking about an "republic" that can´t even enter tra-la-la-organisations like eurovision-song-contest or uefa, but fantasizes about eu and nato ....

Those 5 coutries will recognise Kosovo next year, I recon. These 5 countires are doing more harm than good to Serbian peolple.
As FunCakes says, pressure now is even more formal.

I would agree with your comment but only if you convince me, otherwise fact speak of totaly different picrure.

And you got all this information from Radio Serbia would be my guess.
As far as the 2-3 countries that will recognise us within the year I would like to inform you that it seems that we already have one today.

Canadian

Funcakes,

In less than a year the ICJ will rule in favor of Serbia and at least 2 to 3 EU member states will reverse their recognition of Kosovo and another 5 or 6 of the other 25 countries will do the same, while only 2 or 3 new countries will recognize Kosovo between now and then, so by February 2010 there will be less than 45 countries who formally recognize your toy state one of whom will not be Canada, according to Canadian News media if the ICJ rules in Serbia's favor Canada will be the first to reverse their recognition, that would be a major blow! And all this while the Kosovo Albanians cannot leave their virtual self styled country, your passport is worthless even in the countries that recognize you, changes of an Albanian getting a Visa is very poor.

There is nothing in your future to be so smug about.

Funcakes

Pressure has just stepped one bar higher.

Now they are formally and legally recommending the Dissident Five to recognize.

Slowly but surely guys, always works!
