You are naive. Rugova played a role in the independence as much as KLA, if not more.
(miri, 6 February 2009 03:48)

I am not against of independence. It is clear, Albanians do not want their economic and political decisions to be made one-sided way in Belgrade. Understandably, many are and for a while will be highly suspicious to any decision made in Belgrade, good or bad.

Rugova has nothing to do with what is today. IMO, it is offense to him to mention his name together with these... criminals. Not that I would not disagree with him on many things, but he was a man who earned respect hard way. Who is today should earn 25 years without parole.

Wouldn't it be such a strong Bush-drive for premature independence (many reasons, but not what some K-Albanians think) and if Ibrahim Rugova would be alive today, things would look much better.

You are naive. Rugova played a role in the independence as much as KLA, if not more. Without 10 years of Rugova's peaceful liberation attempts, would not be any independence today. If you want to blame someone, blame the shortsighted view of Serbs that refused to see it, and continue to do so to this day.

village-bey,

I wasn't in K. for few months. If you see things going better, than I am glad if they indeed are. But once people without blood and drug money are in power, they will even get respect. Currently on that area K. needs 100% improvement.

I did not know that "Hashim" = "Crusher of Evil", but that sounds like a sad joke in that particular case.

I did see EULEX in the North even in October of 2008 - at least I suppose, it was EULEX because of unusual license plates (not UNMIK, not KFOR). What is/will be their role have no prediction. I suspect, pretty much nothing, just an other money-wasting.

Hey Ataman,
I have a new meaning for you today: Hashim, translates from Arabic “crusher of evil”, still a lot of blood involved but only in virtual world of middle-eastern video games.
As for sovereignty debate, I think we are witnessing a gradual shift of power, an evolutionary process very true to the original plan. As Kosova democracy matures and more powers are given in exchange for a proper and responsible behaviour. In the last two weeks or so we have witnessed some significant steps towards this process. Establishment of Kosova Security/ Intelligence Forces, Eulex deployment throughout the Republic.
The rest is just sour grapes.

Believe that for some people there is a wish that subject of Kosovo would go away. And I am not talking about Serbs! Or could it be recognise (even when you do not know know what you are talking about) and see the end of it all.... What ever that might be.

I have to agree with Curious here.

Why is BG wasting its time trying to talk to these two jokers when they know what the pre-recorded response will be? Is this only for publicity so Tadic can say "well, we tried to negotiate but the Albanians once again refused?" We all know this! Talk to the real leaders - UNMIK and EULEX. Fat Man Sej and Hashhish talk about "sovereignty" all the time, yet always do it in the presence of international fianciers, political guarantors and military security.

Will somebody please explain to me why does Serbia want to discuss with Kosovo Institutions "the 6-point plan" !!??

Didnt Serbian Government say just few weeks ago that they would only discuss this plan with UN !!??

It seems that the Serbian Government is slowly understanding the fact that UN has no more power in kosovo. And that you cannot discuss anything about Kosovo without Kosovars. This is good :)

@B92: Kosovo President is Mr. Boris Tadic. We are talking here about Mr. Quetzalcoatl, who is known to feed on human organs and unfortunately is not in jail (yet). They are criminals, not "leaders".

Despite what the impression is, my view is shared by many K-Albanians - but they do not dare to say it openly. Maybe because they want to be let in peace and do not want their organs to be fed to Quetzal.
