Man, please don't joke with me. If the albanians cared at all for rights of the gorani then they would not have taken away their municipality, thus taking away their self rule. When they proposed new municipalities, gora was not one proposed. So don't joke regarding them.

Croats were more significant than turks. Croats were the majority in 7 er so areas, and turks in only one.

If anyone is speculating it is you, not me. You could go back a month or two and see B92's report of the school that albanians destroyed in the gora region.

Team Albania always is quick to say with absolutely no hesitation that all Albanians that were arrested are innocent. that implies that they know the accused. SO since albanians know everyone in Kosovo, can i please get a list of every "montenegrin", croatian, turk and every other non Serb minority living in Kosovo?

Thank you

Lazar, you still speculate and bring no arguments. If Turks are micro minority not worth to be mentioned then Croats are much less. Yet you do bring them into the debate. And I am very happy to answer to this. There are still Croats in Kosova and most of them fled from Kosova during the war in Croatia. And you (should) know this. However, I am happy to hear that a Serbs cares about a Croat.

Gorani are recognized by the constitution of Kosova and respected. Same will go for Montenegrins: if the state of Montenegro sends her delegation on Pristina to discuss this that means that there are some Montenegrins in Kosova. Hence your post is just speculation again.

(Roger7, 2 February 2009 17:14)

Roger you are right. My intention was to call for critical thinking of the event. Instead of Probably I should've put MAYBE. Thought I don't want to justify any violence. The one that needs less the violence is the K-Albanian side. The one that wants to portray Kosova as instable and criminal is Serbia. You don’t have to be a rocked scientist to understand this, don’t you?

Ben, the thing that one automatically notices is that you ignore so many minorities. You totally ignore the status of the croats, who are almost totally flushed out. The jews are totally flushed out. The bosniaks are similarly in a very difficult position. For example, the bosniaks had their own municipality of gora... the albanians added a bunch of albanian settlements to that unit in order to take away that minorities rights of limited autonomy. Your turks... they are less than a percent of the population, and form a majority nowhere in Kosovo and Metohija. As for the montenegrins, there is no difference between them and serbs. Even if there was, there would be almost none left. Oh, and here is a reality update for you about the gorani... http://www.reuters.com/article/newsMaps/idUSL114647620080211

Ben,

If you're basing your comments on facts, you should also know that Albanians are not going to target Turks because there's little to no animosity between the two. Not only that, but Turkey is a far larger supporter of Kosovo than Serbia. Not to mention that Turks go crazy whenever anyone of their own is attacked (Iraq as Exhibit A). So before you start to paint Kosovo as this multiethnic paradise, you should know that there is a less visceral hatred for Turks by Albanians as there are for Serbs and thus far less motives for Albanians targeting non-Serbs due to hatreds. But you know this.

ben

Anyone with any common sense should know that, and not make such assumptions that you do.
(Lazar, 2 February 2009 14:25)

I base my statment in FACTs: The Turkish FM was in Kosova and thanked Kosova Gov.t for the treatment of the Turkish minority. http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2009&mm=01&dd=13&nav_id=56400

The Montenegrin state delegation was only a week ago in Kosova and refered to kosova with "friedns" and clearly ASKED to be diffreentiated from Serbs http://www.b92.net/eng/news/in_focus.php?id=91&start=0&nav_id=56768

Ben, seriously, why do you say such lies? We all know that kosovo's minorities live in miserable conditions, and that this is not just serbs. We can notice that 95% of the croats have been flushed out of kosovo... jee, isn't that interesting? We can see that the plan to give minorities some autonomy is a joke, as all non-serb communities have gotten nothing. Montenegrins in kosovo all list themselves as serbs - most of them were in the west of the country, so either they are ALL cleansed, or they are all now listing themselves as serbs. Roma are in deploreable conditions, and I do not know that there are any egyptians. The fact is that the non-serb minorities live the worst, and there is little reporting of them. If you do not hear that there are no problems it does not allow one to assume that there are not any problems. Anyone with any common sense should know that, and not make such assumptions that you do.

ben

pre 15 godina

In multiethnic Kosova live peacefully Turks (Turkish FM testimonial in visit in Kosova a month ago), Montenegrins (the visit of a week ago in Kosova of the Mongering state delegation), Egyptians, Ashkalis, Croats etc.

We never hear any problems with them.

The only problems are related with Serbs.

Without knowing the exact reasons that lead to this incident we cannot talk about it. It would be nice that they would not be reported at all if partial or the report should be a citizen A.B was stabbed by citizen C.D.

The only thing we know for this case is that: Albanians are minority in that village. Probably they were provoked and/or assaulted.

I don't justify the stabbing and any violence but in self defence. What really happened we don’t know. If we all chill out (especially the reporters and above all editors)it won’t harm.

Peggy,

"How many Serbs have to be attacked before something is done here?"

Why are you trying to exployed for political reason any criminal offence commited against Serbs? I do not think you or those people thinking like you are making any favour to Serbs living in Kosova. Let's encourage the Kosova's police to do their job in Kosova against any criminal Albanian or Serb. No one should be immune for any kind of crimes commited in Kosova despite of ethnic background. That is the bottom line. Kosova is a country of all citizen living in that territory despite the ethnic background. Manipulation of Serbian community doesn't help to improve the situation. Friendship pact between Kosova and Serbia as two independent countries, free movement of goods and people, both countries in EU, same rights for Serbs living in Kosova to those living in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvegja in the spirit of EU.

Peggy,

Crime exists everywhere. What is important here is that the police arrested one of the alleged attackers and is closing in on the other.

Do you know why he was stabbed? Was because he was a Serb or maybe something else? Albanians stab Albanians, Serbs stabs Serbs, Albanians stand Serbs and Serbs stab Albanians. Without knowing the real reason 100% you should hold on

Funny how you keep asking Tadic to "do something," as if he can. Look at Serbia's economy and army before making threats.

Lazar

pre 15 godina

Peggy, Tadic could not care less, really. He 15% population that is a minority will give him enough votes to again become president when the radicals again win the serb vote. Therefore there should be no worried. If even that is questionable, then the EU and USA can flood the party with champaign dollars. No worries for the albanians. Tadic's their man.

(Peggy, 1 February 2009 23:20)

And what do you think Mr. Tadic will do??? Maybe you are still unaware of the fact that Kosovo is Independent and it has it's own Police, therefore, any comments or issues should be delivered to them.

How many Serbs have to be attacked before something is done here?

The weired part is that Serbs are a majority here and yet the Albanians think they can drive them out.
When the Serbs retalitate, and they most likely will here, it will be Serbs who are proclaimed bad and trouble makers.

Tadic, start to act now or you will pay the price at the next ballot.
