Yaroslav I hate to tell you that you're wrong about EU. The guys here from Romania told you very clear that their country's economy growth rate is at almost 8% in the EU.... what's makes you think that this is bad?. It doesn't sound bad to me at all!.

Romanians seem very happy in the EU and I don't think that they're going to pay any attention at what Yaroslav says right?.

Real Canadian it's true what you said about Albania.

Greece's ratification of Albania's Stabilization and Association Agreement, SAA, with the European Union on Jan 14th was the final step in the formal approval process of the key document by all EU member states, paving the way for Tirana's application for EU candidate status. Sali Berisha said that Albania will apply within few months.

Yaroslav last year I went to Cuba for vacations and I saw horrible life in there... don't you think that they've suffered from communist system?.
Now you tell me how long Cuba has been in partnership and very close ally with Russia?.

Yaroslav, you and your Serbia can't be smarter than the whole countries within the EU.

Best thing for Serbia is that it must catch Mladic and move towards EU. If I were a Serb I wouldn't have hoped that much in Russia.

Yaroslav I was writing about Croatia, Albania and Macedonia. You are wrong about Albania because the SAA was ratified Jan 14th 2009 I believe. As for why didnt you arrest Mladic while you could thats a question for your democratic country to answer!!! because here is what I got from B92
"Asked whether the authorities could have arrested and extradited him earlier on, Ljajić replied: “When we could have, we didn’t dare, and now that we want to, we can’t.”

“It is obvious that certain people in power up until June 1, 2002, knew where Mladić was hiding and in which military facilities,” said the president of the National Council."

To adrian:
1. So what if oil prices and gas are down. They will go up once the global economy starts going up again in 6-12 months. Nearly every economists says this.
2. I doubt they have superpower dreams, they're more concerned with focusing their power in ex-USSR and in Europe. Hardly a superpower with global reach.
3. Russia in the period of high prices since Putin became president has paid-off all the debts the government owed to foreign government debt.
To quote Benjamin Franklin "Foreign debt is slavery."
4. Not only that but it has saved over $200 billion in it's Stabilization Fund, specifically to deal with situations like this [over 14% of the GDP].

To Real Canadian:
1. Who says were behind? Last tiem I checked Albania and Montenegro and Bosnia SAA's were still in the process of ratification. While Serbia's while frozen is still further ahead then there's due to the Interim Trade Agreement- the only condition being Mladic's arrest.
2. Oh please. Serbs are the ones having there throats showed down with your evil your responsible for everything. Our president has apologized to Croatia and Bosnia, nithing reciprocally has been done -- either with regards to this war or to WWII when the First Bosniak Alija was a member of a fascist youth league and Croats were the Germans best friends.
3. The Dutch veto's have nothing to do with our past, but with theirs. They don't like the fact that their soldiers produly had rakija with Mladic right after Srebrenica, hence why they veto our progress [seriously before they claimed "We want one of the two in the Hague before we lift our veto. We want Mladic as we believe Karadzic is a harder arrest", and now that Karadzic is arrested Serbia is punished for exceeding expecrations]
http://unitedcats.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/karremans.jpg
4. If the west is so confident they know Mladic is in Serbia and the Hague prosecutor can claim that they know where he is (as Del Ponte claimed) why don't they just send commandos to arrest him -- they did this to an indictee in 2000 and the UN approves this violation of Serbia's sovergnity.

While you Real Canadian are probably one of those people who believes everything he hears on CNN and never doubts it. The simple fact is that the EU is a terrible thing for Serbia and Serbia should instead look everywhere for it's interests like Switzerland.

One of the biggest examples of how it is bad for Serbia is the claim made to farmers. You can grow more, export more and earn alot more money if we join the EU. Never mind that:
1. EU protects it's own farmers, particularly those of France.
2. The Serbian farmerscould already make more, sell more and earn more money by selling to other markets like the Middle East.

Yaroslav probably you think as well that Serbia is a beacon of Democracy and is the center of Universe. EU is simply saying stop playing games and face the past wrongdoings. Never mind Romania and Bulgaria its a shame that you are well behind Croatia, Albania and Macedonia.

To Mircaea:

I don't care how much economy of Romania is growing, or better yet how much of your industry is being sold to Bavarian overlords.

The simple fact is it's membership shows double standards. Romania and bulgaria were allowed membership despite not meeting membership criteria, one can also say the same to most other eastern european members.

Look at Croatia, it is in a better economic position then Romania, less corrupt and as a general concensus meets more standards then Romania and Bulgaria. Yet Romania and Bulgaria were given membership ahead of it.

Plus. So what if you gre 8.6% when next year chances are you will be in a recession worst then the west.

for Yaroslav:

Romania is making progress with the help of the EU. In 2008 Romania recorded the highest economic growth rate (7.8%)in the European Union.

Yaroslav

The EU had no problems doing this for Croatia.

Jeremica, if he wasn't a sycophant to western interests, would point this out and say the EU are hypocrites and have double standards.

Another sign of EU double standards. The only bigger sign is the membership of Romania and Bulgaria.

Mr.Jeremic,

As always you try the the impossible.

You may be more succesful in attempts to pump the wheels of the train,...than convince the EU that you are attempting to catch war criminals.

Never-the-less, try again.
