Also, which ethnic Albanian poster will show up first to proclaim this is Milosevic's doing. The ethnic Albanians need to get over the past and move on, but nooooo, that would mean having to look at their own past and current crimes and nobody in the majority in Kosovo wants that, do they, it's much easier to blame a dead man.

This is a serious incident and demonstrates perfectly who we are dealing with in the Southern Province.

I do find all this a little naive though, it is hard to think that these people believe they will get away with acts such as these, when it has been shown in recent history that Serbs have a habit of escalating the calibre of revenge required, that should be quite worrying but it does not deter our enemies still. The time will come when we control our destiny and we can protect our people, for we will fight for that right.

I agree to some extent, but there are major differences. These incidents that would happen in Serbia proper and Albania are usually not ethnically motivated, whereas attacks of that kind in Kosovo seem more common.

Secondly you cannot compare the fact that incidents of these kind happen more or less every day in Albania or Serbia - they have much larger populations. In theory with Kosovo's smaller population there should be less of these incidents, if there are more of them then it is a problem that needs to be solved. Thats where the emphasis will lie.

But yes in some way the Serbian media has been drafted into the cause of showing how today's Kosovo is ridden with ethnic tension. Still, if these incidents didn't happen in the first place, then no 'ammunition' would be available for the media.

If Albanians think that Serbs use this news to discredit Kosovo independence, the best way to defend against that is to pressure authorities in Pristina to crack down on crime of this kind.

What will be reported tomorrow, that an 82 yr old Serb woman in Kosova fell off her chair and broke her neck while sleeping?

Read next article, and remember how many people on this site were accusing albanians. Are they a shamed now? probably not, the only thing that matters is accusing albanians.

Lets not Balkanize this event. It is not important at all of what nationality the actors were. The crime is gruesome enough that politics have no place in there. It is plainly, a shameful crime that needs to be punished and I hope that KPS finds those who perpetrated the crimes and that they receive the deserved punishment.

Lets see, 4000 euros lying around in his house and he is forced to live in a ghetto? Maybe the serb community is not a ghetto as many here would lead us to believe, and maybe Serbs in Kosovo are not as destitute as protrayed.
So someone must have known he had money, but I bet it was the many Albanians that he has had in his house for coffee lately.

How do you serbs know that it was an albanian who assulted this innocent man ? It dosen't stand so in the article and even the police dosen't know who assulted this old man. How come you serbs on this site know it was an albanian ?


And how is it possible for an albanian to go in a serb neighbourhood where only serbs live and robb somebody ? Specially in a region where there is great tension between the etnicites?

I think it was a serbian criminal/junkey who did this crime. And not from far but a neighbour who knew he had 4000 euros .
