Berkeley, yes, compared to US and UK who have raped the world over and over for decades, those countries are indeed civilized.

Unfortunately Canada and Australia have gone along with the US for their own political reasons.

Don't forget to add China, India, New Zealand, Spain, Greece and the rest of two thirds of the world who have not recognized you in that uncivilized list.

Peggy, thank God that Serbs have the "civilized" countries like Northkorea, Iran, Syria, Russia, Simbabwe and all other countries of this type on their side, whereas Albanians are only supported by "uncivilized" countries like Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, Netherlands, etc. This letter proves this once more.

For all you uneducated in good manners and laugh at writing a letter of protest, this is one the first step.

As a matter of courtesy one is obliged to put his/her objections in writing before the next step in case the first is ignored.

Looks to me that if it was the other way around, your Thaci and Ceku would ignore the protocol and just go in there all guns blazing.

Now that's the difference between civilized societies and yours.

I mean, if the UN says today that Germany must give up a province, then Germany must do so? Did Germany ever submit itself to such a power from the UN? Nope. Neither did Serbia!

Boys and girls, please check the facts.

Ron, very bad choice of example! Or is it a Freudian slip? Take a map of Germany prior to 1945 and compare it to the reality.

"He adds that the creation of these forces constitutes a breach of the Serbian Constitution and international law, which is why they should be disbanded."
I found this letter very funny indeed. The reason is that Tadic talks about Serbian Constitution as a Constitutions which has had the approval by Kosovars. We all know how this constitution was approved....we all know about Serbia's early elections before Kosova's status was defined. Serbia wants a weak Kosova where it can put foot again. These games has gone for ever and there is no return to Serbia.

Come on now Ron,
Even you with “your” Dutch sense of humour (if there is such a thing – well judging from your comments) should find this funny.
We are talking about “The Memoirs Of the Tadic’s Letter” here (just like the “Big Brother” program on TV we are following the path of a “letter”).
The next article should read: “Ban Ki-Moon Is Reading Tadic’s Letter” followed with “Ba Ki-Moon Has Read Tadic’s Letter”.
Just don’t know the follow up article from there?

"Tadić letter arrives in UN".

Actually the letter hasn't arrived yet. It is on its way from airport to UN headquarters, transported in a golden box, with a platinum strip around it. Mr. Ban sent his personal limousine to carry the letter.
While the automobile passed through 5-th avenue, the stores emptied out as people quit their shopping and came out in the street throwing flowers over the car carrying the letter. One shopper commented as saying: "I have never seen such enthusiasm for a letter, since when Moses came down from the mounting with his ten commandments printed in his letter from God(well it was a rock slab at that time).
Another by passer said with tears in his eyes: "Finally we see some light, the letter is here and the prophecy to be fulfilled".

Instead of laughing about this letter, I suggest people start rebuilding Kosovo.

Kosovo is like a third world area. Way away from EU!

And as we all know: 1244 is still valid, so Tadic's arguments are sound.

You may not like that, but the fact is there!

And if you don't like that fact: remove 1244. It is so simple. You only have to make Russia and China (and some other countries) agree.

And even then, even if the UN would state: Kosovo is independent now... then still there is no legal basis for this as Serbia (or any other country) ever agreed to give such a power to the UN.

I mean, if the UN says today that Germany must give up a province, then Germany must do so? Did Germany ever submit itself to such a power from the UN? Nope. Neither did Serbia!

Boys and girls, please check the facts.

Wish you all the best from fully independent and pretty succesfull Holland.

Is Tadic actually suprised that these same characters who tore Serbia apart and illegally bombed her for 78 days are not acting in good faith??
Poor Boris, that man is so naive to actually trust these immoral NATO characters. I feel sorry for him. They are probably laughing at him behind his back. Maybe he should apologize to Croatia again (to make NATO happy), this time for the Croat fans attacking the Red Star basketball team at Split airport.
We really need a pragmatist like Kostunica back in the office, ASAP.

Mr Tadic has sent angry protest letters both to Ban and NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer over the formation of the KSB –
UN reply: Protect the environment and save trees; please don’t send unnecessary letters.

Poor Tadic. Serbs expect him to do something, and all he can do is write letters to people who can't do anything about it, even if they wanted to.

The latest and most important element of a statehood, an army, was just formed in Kosova (with US, UK and German help) and Serbia still has their head stuck in sand calling them 'illegal paramilitaries.'

Predident Tadic's letter caused much turmoil here in New York: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called an emergency session of the Seurity Council, Dow Jones Index dropped by 11% and The New York Times will come out with a special issue on Serbia's policy on Kosovo.
