What on earth are you trying to say here?
Of all the silly posts, this one is the silliest.

Have you been told to repeat this 500 times for misbehaving?

Yes bganon, the Serbian and Russian people are connected. Not all would like to acknowledge that but speaking generally, we are all brothers and sisters.

At the political level, you may have a point but I believe both Russians and Serbians have learnt a lesson or two during the Yeltsin years. That period of confusion is over my friend.

Just remember that Serbia has never sent troops to help Russia in misguided causes like the UK has for the US. A resurging Russia can only benefit us.

If only what you Jovan and ZK talk about was true.

I understand the emotional attachment, but whenever it came to the crunch in the recent past Russia never backed up its words of support with action.

No, I think there is some exploitation going on there, not so different from the 'special' relationship between the UK and USA.

The British all tell themselves that they are an important nation and a key ally of the US and have a special relationship with that country. The UK politicians try to shine in that light when on foreign trips to the US and wax lyrical about a partnership. The US could not really care a fig about the UK and its Germany that is the real partner of the US (Russia). That is the country that both Russia and the US respects in Europe.

Anglo-Saxon brotherhood aside when push comes to shove there is no such thing as special relationships in international relations, rather mutual interests.

"...a country that had shared a common history with Russia and whose people had always been regarded as brothers."
Mr Ambassador! You nailed it! But forget about the rest such as in compliance of "international law"...)

god willing we will be russia's rock solid and trusting ally in europe very soon.
we can be pragmatic and cooperate even with proven enemies of serbia but only at arms length. but russia only is ally. only russia which never bombed, occupied us or tried to take our territory from us and which in fact helped whenever they could. not to mention such things like blood and soul that we share.
common sense and spine, serbs, please. our future is with our friends, not our enemies.

Well said Jovan. Serbians and Russians are brothers and sisters. We are together even though we don't live in the same house.

The same cannot be said for Albanians and Americans - who obviously have a servant master relationship.

Gjon...

you shouldn´t mix up the albanian-american relations with those between Serbia and Russia!

Serbia is a country of regional importance, while the Albanians still only dream of being the descendants of some mythological illyrians...

a direct result of feeling the need to "be someone", I´d say.

Serbia is a partner for the Russians, not more but also not less than that.

you either do not realize it, or you´re just trying to be negative.

either way: you lose.
