If you are ignoring the bla bla from Belgrade why are you commenting on all the bla bla from Belgrade?
Ignoring means that you mind your own business and let Vuk do his thing. The fact is that you are afraid of the diplomatic battle Belgrade is pursuing and that's why you are coming here day in and day out to find out how it's going.

It was under the guidance of UNMIK not EULEX with their mandate of 1244 that the Kosovo Security forces were formed to replace the former Kosovo protection corps.
The Serbian govt is just playing with your emotions, this has been in the works for over a year and not secretly. So anyone who wants to waste their time and energy being upset now, have at it. No letters of complaint is going to change a thing.

"all are Kosova/o sectors"

In theory Dardania only. Ask yourself - and be honest - do you really think Albanians are going to patrol Serb sectors? Unless Serbs join the KSB, do you really think Albanians are going to be peacefully deployed in Mitrovica or Gracanica with no conflict? Do you really think Thaci, Sejdiu or the rest of the gang has any say in Serb sectors?

If you've answered yes to any of the above, it's you who doesn't get it, not me. I see Kosovo for what it really is: an international protectorate administratively divided by Serbs and Albanians. There is nothing to make me believe Kosovo is a single, sovereign, united, independent state, no matter what spin you or anyone else tries to give me. Just like I can't see Serbia Proper having any say over all of Kosovo, I can't see Pristina having any say over the K-Serb sectors. It has little to do with nationalism. It has everything to do with seeing the zero-sum gains for what they are in this troubled region. So right now, I'd worry about Albanians putting their own house in order before they start dictating what others should do.

unfortunately ben, pristina government was obviously "forced" to put serbian language as official, since it is clear to any person that has ever been to kosovo that Pristina was forced to copy and paste the ahtisari plan into yuor constitution to get independence and enjoy the international recognition you 've got so far. do not manipulate reality or pretend not to see the obvious politic games

Albanians secure Albanian areas. Serbs secure Serb. "

Mike, you still don't get it it, do you? They are no Albanians or Serb sectors, all are Kosovo/a sectors. No Bosnia model in Kosova. The force is under civilian Kosovo/a authorities and that is decided already as part of strengthening statehood for Kosova.

Two issues (at least 2):
They need visas to get in Kosova and whoever carries weapons without proper permissions will be arrested.

I have to agree with NATO here. There's very little Serbia Proper can do about this, and to be honest, it's far better for a professional security force to operate than the vigilantism that has characterized Kosovo's internal security (or lack thereof) for the past 8 years. If the KSB operates within Albanian sectors, again there's little Belgrade can do. And if this is little more than glorified traffic police, I daresay this lightly armed organization will pose as Thaci's shocktroops.

The best Jeremic can hope to accomplish is if he gets the KSB to fall within the authority of EULEX, which isn't that far fetched an idea. And I wouldn't be upset if K-Serbs form their own security services (even if its a branch of the KSB) to patrol their own areas.

Albanians secure Albanian areas. Serbs secure Serb.

But again, even though it's only on paper, I have to say that having the KSB function in both Albanian and Serbian is good. Even if nobody believes this to be a multiethnic force, at least it was organized with it in mind. I can only imagine the outcry if the NYPD started operating on an officially bi-lingual program.

K-Army is there for protection of all citizens just like Serbian army.
By the way, Serbia is allowed to have armed forces even after all those what Serbian armies have done to people in Balkans.
Myabe this is a better topic for discussion not K-Army that is going to be under NATO surveilance.

The KPC was just renamed KLA and now this "army" is also KLA. The KPC let churches be destroyed and Serbs killed and so will this "army" which is all KLA members. Due to its membership having let Serbs be killed and houses and churches destoryed it is really all about getting all the Serbs out of Kosovo. That is the KLA's goal in Kosovo.

Gezim Disha

The Serbian reaction to anything positive happening in the republic of Kosovo is well predictable. So there is nothing new here.
It looks like the letter to the NATO secretary general, has been already responded.
Time to lose sleep waiting for the other response: That of the UN secretary general.
After long deliberations, I guess a confusing (and of course non binding) plan of 60 points will come up which will serve as an excuse for Serbs and Albanians to celebrate another “victory”. In the mean time the new expected recognitions will make all the plans (with all the points included) drawn by the UN, completely useless and pointless.

bla bla bla, Serbia protests this and Serbia protests that.

Serbia does not wish any good development for any neighbour. We all know that. And, thanks god, we have learned to ignore the bla bla bla from Belgrade.

A state that started 4 wars and destroyed the lifes of millions of people in other countries, is now being cynical about Kosovo trying to organise its own protection.

It is exactly because of you, Serbia, that Kosovars MUST have an army, even bigger than this new one.

It is imperative that the UNSC act on this immediately.
They need to call a special meeting discuss it and then adjourn without ever taking any action.
But I guess the Serbian govt has to pretend to be doing something.

Nobody should be surprised at the formation of such a force. However since KM is not a legal country, in any sense of the word, they do not need and should not be allowed access to weapons. After all you would not let a young child play with a sharp knife would you! In any event there is no need for such arrangements since Kosovo is a colony of the UN and the security of the place is contracted out to NATO. None of the British Overseas Territories have their own militia or army – why? Quite simply the good old UK supplies all the security they need and diplomatic representation as well.

“In the letters Tadić sets out his vehement opposition to the formation of the Kosovo Security Forces (BSK).”

Serbia in her blind- hatred actions against the young democracy of Kosova and everything positive that in Kosova is tried to be done is on other hand CORRECTLY using the Serbian acronyms of the Kosova’s institutions as in this case BSK- since the Serbian language is OFFICIAL language in the entire territory of the young democracy of Kosova.

I challenge every one of you to find a STATE where the language of a minority of 5% is official in the entire country. Serbia maybe- Hungarian/Albanian/Romanian- one of these three???

In 1992, 1995, & 1999 the UN and NATO sent numerous protests to Belgrade for being "kind" and "genersouly human" in various Wars.

Serbia was only laughing and being mega hypocrite at the time.

Now we see the contrary, Serbia protesing at UN & NATO. What has gone wrong now??

It appears right now someone else is calling the shots and laughing. From my experience, the one who laugh last laugh the most.
