When kosovo albanians elect a moderate leader, give up separatism and embrace the country they live in - Serbia, there will be investments from Serbia throughout our province of Kosovo and Metohija. Until that day comes the kosovo albanians will continue living in limbo and cannot expect any serious investments from Serbia or otherwise.

First of all, why do you Albanians always feel the need for ha has?

Second, it is not Albnaians that Serbs were investing in but everyone who lives in Kosovo. Albanians got the best deal. Your own institutions and schools in your own language and autonomy. Now that's a better deal than Roma or Gorani got and you still were not happy and threw it all in their face.

So tell me then, how Serbia did not invest in Kosovo. You have just made a broad statement but please be more specific. What is US going to do for you beside overrun you with their troops?

Well put mr.Minister. We must fight on with diplomatic means, invest in the North for now and assure that Serbs will return, in the North-for now. That's an only kind of fight we can do right now- keep up our face straight- while we wait for when current changes which will happen sooner or later.

Do you know why Slovenia left Yugoslavia in June 1991? Now before you start it had very little to do with Milosevic. They were fed up subsidizing the impoverished regions of the SFRJ.

Slovenia left for her own purposes NOT for yours.

Do you honestly believe that anyone gave a damn what happened in the next republic at that time? It was all grabbing what they could for themselves.

Kosovo was a non issue for anyone but Albanians.

Seems like Belgrade is pulling the plug on this whole thing afterall...they're already cutting the funding for the Kosovo ministry by 1/3.

Milan Kucan, the leader of Slovenia at the time got the support through a referendum in Slovenia to seperate from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. However, under the Yugoslav constitution, it needed the consent from the other constituent republics. The vote was deadlocked, Serbia, Montenegro and the semi-autonomous republics of Kosovo and Vojvodina voted against, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia and Macedonia voted for seperation, a deadlock.

Slovenia decided to seperate in contradiction to the Yugsolav constitution and the Yugoslav army was sent under the orders of Federal Republic and rotating presidency at the time-Stipe Mesic of Croatia and General Kadijevic (Half Serb, Half Croatian)

Contrary to false Media reports, Slobodan Milosevic had nothing to do with sending the JNA to Slovenia or Bosnia and Herzegovina or Croatia when civil strife began in the former Yugoslavia.

What is a "semi-autonomous" republic? An entity is either autonomous or it is not! Also, you write that Kosovo and Vojvodina are republics as well as being "semi-autonomous". All this double talk must have made the other republics very confused, especially when you claim the Slobo had nothing to do with sending the JNA tanks into Slovenia.

Despite this mistake konstantin gregovic is correct to say that the JNA was orderd into Slovenia by federal Yugoslav government who had the authority to do so and not Milosevic.
