Dear 'Amnesty Int.', your comments bear absolutely no relation to what I have written.

"Stop assisting war criminals"????

What have I written in any possible way that could be understood as "assisting war criminals"?

And please show me where I wrote 'mercenaries'? I wrote of 'paramilitaries' which are something entirely different from 'mercinaries'. If you want mercenaries, go look up the BBC documentary 'Dogs of War' which covered this (british, dutch, germans etc. coming to fight for the croats).

They say they were "regular soldiers", but then they would. As I pointed out in my first post (which you appear not to have read), it is on record in the ICTY transcripts that the prosecution did not challenge the defense claim that they were in fact paramilitaries.

And where exactly in my posts did I write that I was blaming others for the "crimes at Ovcari"? I have written no comment about this.

Why don't you do some home work on what croatian paramilitaries were doing in Vukovar before the fighting started? Does even the name Tomislav Mercep (who has never been prosecuted) ring a bell?

"That was a crime worst of its kind."

Expert or amateur judgement? Face it, you don't have a clue.

BTW, why would 'soldiers' want to hide in a hospital and pretend to be patients? Is this the normal behavior of fine, upstanding soldiers with clean hands?

Soldiers posing as civilians is a clear breach of the Geneva Conventions, but then some people think this is 'normal'....

Fisrt of all these victims were not mercenaries but defenders who were in the regular Croatian army. Most victims were civilians. Stop blaming others for what happend at Ovacari. That was a crime worst of its kind. Injured humans being dragged to there deaths. What is wrong with you people. Stop assisting these war criminals beacuse thats what they are -criminals.

It is important to add that these 'prisoners' were in fact paramilitaries, a fact that is evident if one reads the transcripts from the ICTY, the defense making this point clear and that the prosecution did not challenge nor object to this.

Nor should it be forgotten that they pretended to be civilian patients at Vukovar hospital, hoping to be evacuated by the Red Cross.

"....A lot of fighters had gathered in the City Hall and we discussed there whether we should try to break through towards Vinkovici. One suggestion was to take off our uniforms and join the civilians in the hospital. Those who did that are dead. They ended up in the mass grave in Ovcara."
