I'm surprised, not one word concerning Albanian "crime groups" from Kosova. That is because, in the scheme of things, those are relatively "small potatoes" when compared to other criminal groups in the Balkans. However, all these groups of Balkan criminals are dwarfed by the Russian mafia, who are the most ruthless and vicious of all.

Nevertheless, to read the Serb newspapers or even B92, one gets the distinct impression that the Albanians have a corner on crime and all other groups are model citizens. It is no wonder that the Serb media has no credibility outside of the former Yugoslavia, Greece and maybe Russia. As we all should know, crime is usually a result of poverty. Considering the level of poverty in Kosova and Albania, the Albanians measure up as good upstanding citizens compared to other ethnic groups in the region who are more fortunate and less discriminated against.
