Camp Victory, Baghdad, Al Asad Air Force Base (built by Yugoslavia for Sadam in the 80's) in the Al Anbar province, Camp Anaconda in Balad (all in Iraq) are the huge bases.

Bondsteel is tiny compared to the above.

Why are you mentioning anything built by Yugoslavia?

Aren't we talking about a military base built by the US?
Camp Bondsteel is the second larges military base built by the US since Vientam. They admit to that, so why don't you?

"Bogdanović said that “there is no difference between these forces and the infamous KLA, which simply underwent a makeover or took off its uniforms and handed over its responsibilities to the Kosovo Protection Corps, which has handed over its responsibilities to the newly-formed Kosovo Protection Corps.“

He called for demilitarization of the whole province, as only this could help establish adequate security, not just in Kosovo, but throughout the region."

He is so funny, did the serb army, took out the soldiers who killed inocent civilians all over ex-YU, on your army Mr,. Bogdanovic, you still have the same people, maybe on the inside of your army building, are still the "souveniers" taken from civilians bodies all over ex-YU.
And yes, we are for demilitarisation of the region, we do not want wars, but that can happend, when there will not exist any serbian army, from who everyone in ex-YU feels threaten, because you were and will be the threat in that region.

No Mr. Bogdanovic, I do not agree with you again. Serbs in Kosovo do not dislike Kosovo Army, on the contrary they are applying en masse (at massive numbers)to join the Kosovo army. The Kosovo Army will protect Serbs from the potential enemies, like Serbs (of Serbia). We have plenty of Serbs who joined Kosovo government and they endorse Kosovo army.

BTW Thaci government has reserved a seat of a Deputy Minister (of Kosovo Defence)for Kosovo Serb.

"monster base" being so ill informed how can anyone take the rest of your comments seriously.
Currently approx 1500 US military on Camp Bondsteel, less than 10% of the Kfor forces. There is not even a landing strip on the base for airplanes to come and go.

doodah, please don't embarrass yourself by saying others are ill informed when it is you who is ill informed, or just telling lies.

"Serbia, Serbs oppose Kosovo armed forces"
The title says all. That’s it. You don’t need even a single line to add to this article. Who in the world wants his/her enemy to be armed?!!! Nobodyyyyy!! Why you expect Serbia who expelled almost half of a country population (700,000 to 800,000 Albanians and non-Serbs where expelled from Kosovo to Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania from Serbian army and Serbian paramilitary forces).
Who in the world wants equilibrium in military forces?!!!! Nobody!
So this article doesn’t make news. It is known fact that Serbia wants Kosovo to not have even knife and not regular army.

Mr. L*O*G*I*C,

How exactly do you plan to ' see' evidence of depleted uranium bombs' use? It's a well know fact easily found anywhere if you just looked.

Now, uranium has by products, like Radium & Radon all of which are radioactive. These elements can remain in the soild for thousands of years. This great organization of NATO, just destroyed life for many generations to come by poisoning the Serbian lands, water, air. Hence, the increased cancer rates in Serbia in the recent years.

Ratko, your comments are very extreme but you do bring a good point. I have yet to see evidence that the bombs used in NATO-Serbia bombing had depleted uranium. As far as the "monster base" I do agree that Camp Bondsteel has been rumored (esp. Councel of Europe) of being a mini-Guantanamo. No one should worry about the Kosovo Army, they are under strict monitoring, and all the personnel will enjoy a lofty pay; no worries about Serbs joining the institution. This is another step towards executing the highest law of Kosovo, the Kosovo Constitution.

It is america who creates problems so they can be "needed." Who else is giving them weapons?

Can you imagine they bomb you with depleted uranium, build a monster base on your territory without any permission.... portray you as a monster on their controlled media outlets and then just give you orders in your own country. Is this the american democracy?
