Serbia to raise "question of responsibility"

Srbijagas CEO Dušan Bajatović says that Serbia has to raise the question of responsibility in the Russo-Ukrainian gas dispute.

A lawsuit against Ukraine will definitely add cement to our relations. Serbia will be the first European state to do so. In EU they need a political will to step over the US veto. Otherwise they would have joined Russia long ago.

Today Putin offered Itaian ENI to buy the technical gas Ukraine was demanding during last 3 days. Evidently ENI and other energy companies will have to buy this gas on the border and sell it to Ukraine to fill the 1200 km of pipe lines. Then we can expect progress on Friday.

In Ukraine they have a political and economical disaster when nobody is willing to take the responsibility for the crisis. They also understand that if only they let the Europeans solve their problem Ukraine has mere chances to contract gas at the price of USD 220 as it was offered today by Ushenko.
