If they are offended by other religious pracices let them learn to live with it. They will never be the only faith on Earth. They have entered the international community and must learn to assimilate. This is the 21st century, not the 7th.

I wonder if the Montenegrin office sends cards to Orthodox Patriarc for muslim holidays...I'm sure they wouldn't get a free pass form them either.I do agree with some posters here that you can thow them in trash can and I'm sure he wouldn't mind either but the meaning is that matters here.
As far as tolerance,I think the cristian too itsn't bright either.

As we have recently seen in Sarajevo, they banned christmas related stuff in public schools. Therefore it is obvious that these people are a detriment to peace and stability. Best it returns to the middle east, all of them - perhaps they belong with people such as israel who have the same intolerance.

Montenegro is a Christian country. These people should at least show some tolerance to the dominant religion of the country. Or are Muslims not capable of religious tolerance?

Dont like getting Christmas cards in the mail? Easy. Shut up about it and just throw them away. Being offended must be part of the Muslim tradition. I call it immaturity.

Muslims need to understand a few ideals: tolerance, mutual respect, freedom of conscience, womens rights, interfaith dialogue etc.
To all tolerant peoples of planet earth, regardless of faith - Happy holidays and all the best in 2009.

"Ka" (hopefully) does mean "ox" in Albanian. 2009 is according the "lunar calendar" the "year of the ox", while 2008 was the "year of the rat" or "year of the mouse" (there is no distinction between "rat" or "mouse" in Chinese). Increasingly, many in the "West" do call years the "Chinese" way. The "compromise" is:

- for "Westerns" the lunar year of the ox begun on January 1
- according the Chinese calendar, the "real" lunar year of the ox will begin on January 26.

The Lunar New Year is very widely celebrated, also in the States and in particular in the Bay Area (Roberto be the witness). So Chinese begun the celebrate Christmas and "Westerns" the Lunar New Year. Nothing is lost, just an other holiday and a reason to celebrate is added. ;)

(OK, one restriction: who can afford, go to a strictly Buddhist restaurant on January 26 and eat that day vegan only)

Anyway, 新年快樂! (Happy New Year! - Xin Nian Kuai Le)

But as I just learned, best wish for New Year is:

"Gong Xi Fa Cai" (= have joy an become rich)

where the proper teasing answer is:

"Hong Bao Na Lai!" ( = bring me the red envelope, i.e. give me the money)

It's why the cards many times are written "politically correct way" as "Season's Greetings". There is Hanukkah, Lunar New Year, Orthodox Christmas, Orthodox New Year, Gregorian ("Western") Christmas, Gregorian ("Western") New Year, Eid al-Adha. To many to chose between December and February.

Whatever it is, everyone should feel to be greeted.
