Best example of double standart.I remember how american jews(Albright,Cohen, holbrook,Lantos,Soros etc.)always stressed how much they did for muslims in the balkans when Iraq and Afghanistan were bombed to stone age similarly to Serbia. American jewish lobby was the greatest supporter of independent kosovo. In 40s Hitler was a great supporter of albanians his job was finished in 1999 and 2008.Serbs were cleansed from kosovo the same way palestinians were forced from their homeland. No wonder that real muslim states do not recognize Kosovo the creation of american jewish lobby.

"The continuous Israeli onslaught on Palestinians will leave a lasting legacy of hatred towards Israel and their western backers.I think we all know who pays the bill.
How can the bombing of the University of Gaza, hospitals and civilian homes make the Israelis more secure?
These actions will only serve to radicalise young Palestinians and swell the ranks of extremist groups."

i very much agree with leonidas here. To attack these civilian areas is not only immoral but only brings back so much more hatred towards israel, towards the west, towards a moderate future. it is absolutely insane for the Israeli govt. to think they can bomb their way to peace here -- obviously i find hamas and their types anethma to my entire being, but they exist and represent a certain % of their population, and they need to be negotiated with and brought into the political fold as possible.

every day i see the horrors from the middle east and it sickens me. there has got to be a better way, and in my opinion obama needs to make some moves NOW in backing an immediate end to the fighting rather than remaining silent. what bush says or does or does not should be irrelevant.

The so-called road map and peace process are definitely off the agenda for the immediate future.Palestinians
are divided with Hamas accusing Abbas for being corrupt and a US puppet.
I think the problem there can only be solved by ordinary Jews and Palestinians.Unless both people come together and start communicating with each other iam afraid there will never be peace in those lands.

I just don't get why is Bush making us count every second until he's out of the office, why can't he take some days off until his mandate is finally finished.

Israel can probably get away with full scale ethnic cleansing and the USA will do absolutely nothing.

Was it not Condoleeza Rice who said there are no spheres of influence anymore? What a joke! Thankfully these people are disappearing soon!

While being perhaps the most unpopular president of the States, here one does not be a rocket scientist (sorry for pun) to see: deliberately shelling civilians with mortars and RPG-s is a war crime, so HAMAS is a war criminal + terrorist. Regardless, are there any civil rights abuses made by Israeli police (probably yes) or not. So "dubya" is correct on this one.

I hope this isn't the same security team that confirmed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
I am expecting the USA to start their Shock and Awe campaign against the Israelis.
Israel most be stopped!
