German expansionism is slowly but surely taking shape in the Balkans.
Germany broke ranks with the EU by recognising Croatia and then involved itself in all sorts of sordid antics throughout the Balkans.
Germany's old foe, Serbia, not only had to be humiliated but also had to be weakened through destabilisation and propaganda.
Former WW2 allies, Croats, Albanians and Bosnian muslims had to be rewarded to realise a 'Greater Germany' south to the Adriatic Sea.
It's no surprise that Voijvodina is also on the German hit-list (the old Austro-hungarian empire recalled).
German expansionism is also evident in Brussels where it has an unhealthy influence on decision-making.
(This is one of the reasons why I voted NO in the Lisbon Treaty.)

Sadly, I believe that Serbia also has enemies from within, who love the euro/dollar and power and care little for their nation.
Shame on them.

You people just can't wait to dismember Serbia. You would love nothing more than to see Serbia carved up in little pieces.

No other state from former Yugoslavia has the same problem. Serbia is the only state which was populated by just about everyone in that region and now is paying the price.

Dream on, Vojvodina isn't going anywhere and Kosovo will remain within borders of Serbia.

ben,

When will the USA start to give her own minorities what she forces other to give to theirs!

Talking about doulbe standards!

Serbia must let Kosovo go. But Tibet must stay under communist regime of China.

Double standards?

It is absolutely nauseating to read about that no one can live with the Serbs. Every single minority wants to be their "own" country within Serbia- from the push from some Hungarians in Vojvodina, to the Muslims in Presevo. Last week the Hungarian ambassador even told the Vojvodjanci that they are NOT being mistreated in Serbia- so why the discontent? Could it be the goal of some European countries to keep minorities in Serbia restless so as to weaken it and create a quisling Serbian state??? Serbia is truly one of Europe's oldest civilizations with a proud history of legal frameworks and minority acceptances. Even Simon Gray adds his "viewpoint" to suggest more autonomy for the Roma- thereby creating more social uneasiness. Serbia, as noted by many international organizations, is one of the most diverse and tolerant multicultural societies in the world. So realistically, it's NOT the Serbs that are "causing" the discontent, but rather alternative "agendas" plotting to destroy Serbia from within. Don't let Serbia be pulled apart by "disloyal" minorities- preserve the beauty and strength of the Serbian nation!!! If Serbia is not good enough for you, then leave- YOU are not good enough for Serbia!!!

"That statute, instead of setting the autonomy's competencies, as was envisaged in the Constitution, is deliberately introducing elements of statehood for the province, which undermines Serbia's entire legal and constitutional order," said Koštunica."

It is astonishing how Serbia is not ready to give to her Hungarians (Romanians and Albanians) what is asking for her minority in Kosova.

But this doesn’t constitute a problem for Serbia to complain for some double standards.

It is just unbelievable- and yet very normal in Serbia.

If you in Serbia think that what the Kosova’s constitution is guaranteeing for the Serbian minority is jokes then please adopt same standards for Hungarians, Romanian and Albanians in Serbia. You should not fear to do that, should you???

Kostunica!

River doesn't go upward. You try to push it but it won't.

It will be better if you find some "Albanian Terrorists" in Presevo, Bujanovc & Medvedge.

Don't try to hand over to Hague because the game will be over.

I would suggest to treat properly Vojvodina issue. Don't forget that Vojvodina was an other Autonome Region of RFSY and not an Serbian Province.
