Give it a few more years. By then, Albanians will make up 99% of Kosova's population by sheer normal population growth. Yep, we grow that quickly :D

Full international support - 139 out of 192 nations in UN has not recognized Kosovo - that's "full support" for Thaci

It is true that there are less countries that accepted the independece comparing to those that did not, but it does not mean that the number will not be increased son. You know 53 most importat countries recognised (in a 10 month period of time). Friend I have to say and you have to admit that it is a matter of time, when majority of countries will recognise Kosova, it is a matter of time when we will be member of UN, and also (maybe not a matter of time) when Serbia will recognise the independece of Kosova.

Serbia may freeze the conflict, but this will bring no good to it. say it does not recognize Kosovo for the next 30 years That may not prevent its getting closer to the EU, but would make it more difficulte. By then the population of Kosovo is bound to grow, the new generation will speak no Serbian. In the end the new Serbian generation will be horrified by the prospect of "uniting" with Kosovo.

Guys this is not something that I would call a dream. Just like Ian from UK said, Serbia can ignore Kosova forever but I'm very positive that Mr. Tadic will ask the Serbian government to fully accept the independence of Kosova. They (Serbs) couldn't do anything to prevent Montenegro and Macedonia from recognizing their new neighbor so what else do you expect?.

Everyone keeps saying the EU "needs" Serbia more than Serbia needs the EU.
Can someone please tell me what it is about Serbia that the EU "needs"?
I can understand EU wanting Serbia so that there will be no holes once all the neighboring countries join (if that will ever be a possibility). But I cannot think of one thing that Serbia has that the EU needs.
Europeans are loaded with arrogance so I don't think that is it.

"Belgrade can keep on dreaming about EU membership without any Western vetoes.

Likewise Thaci's dream of Belgrade's recognition and UN membership will turn into a nightmare!

Serbia is already ready to recognise Kosovo, Serbia just wants to recogise a Kosovo without the Serb dominated North. Serbia wants to recognise Rep of Kosovo without the north. They are trying to keep what they can.

Also I remember when Yugoslavia vowed it would never recognise Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia and BiH, but it did in 1996.

Serbia can ignore Kosovo forever, at some point Serbia will have to recognise Kosovo.

Serbia does not need an independent Kosovo and an Independent Kosovo can not exist without Serbia.

In the long term the EU needs Serbia more than Serbia needs the EU and in the short term, where Serbia would benefit greater, the EU's frustrations of Serbia's attempts are God sent.

Perhaps in 5 or so years when Serbia is back on its feet and the Separatists of Kosovo point their weapons at Western occupiers we will be in better position to come to the aid of the european Union

Oh yes, Thaci - you WILL have close relations with Serbia.., in near future. We all wait for that. Let the Pound fell some percent, more.., or somebody's car industry to ruin.. That's all we need! That's all related on how soon our relationship will "revive". Don't worry, we desperately watch to that day. You have Serbia to take care about this! (In cooperation with it's PARTNERS)

PM Thaci is more than right, serbia sooner or later will recognize Kosova as an Independent country is not a dream but soon will be a reallity. just listen to your leaders and will be very easy to understand how they are making serbs people blind and in particular serbian minority who are living in R of Kosova, who are suffering from this serbian leaders.Do not listen to them, live your one life as you should!!.

"but ruled out the use of force in order to achieve this."

What! Did the Snake get a slap on his finger for his previous threats about using force? Looks like it! And about Belgrade recognizing Kosovo: Dream on!

"Belgrade recognition inevitable" - Said by the same guy who said the six-point plan does not exist and named a street after Bush...
"Kosovo has legitimate institutions and full international support" - Yeah sure very legitimate, as long as you ignore international law. Full international support - 139 out of 192 nations in UN has not recognized Kosovo - that's "full support" for Thaci. This guy is truly from another planet. He even managed to claim Eulex implements the Ahtisaari plan, which of course is just another lie. Eulex has repeatedly stated it is status neutral an apolitical. It is quiet impressive of Thaci to manage to make so many false statements in just a few sentences.
