It,s called EULEX, who's got the responsibility to work together with Rep. of Kosova.

It is a mission of 22+5 states of EU. (22 states recognizing the status of Kosova and 5 not yet).

They've got OK from UN.

They are 6 points to be taken "IN CONSIDERATION" and an job to fulfill.

What will be the end???

I think that serb minority in Rep. of Kosova got more chances to be in EU than albanian minority in Serbia.

Snakes can usually swallow a whole lot more than they can bite. IN this case I think Thaci's bark is bigger than his bite. One way or another the Serbian tax man will come to collect the bill. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts

For such short time Kosovo has done well. Could have been better but still god. Of course conflicting with minorities is out of standards of and intentions of the New Born State. Serbia is doing it's best to obstacle god relationship between nationalities in Kosovo paying a big cost to it's image but as well to it's future.

It's political and economical debt to Kosovo society is increasing and Serbia is not taking into consideration that will came the day when the debt has to be payed back.

Peggy,

Indeed, it is Kosovo, not Kosova. This irritates me a lot. Because Albanians use this linguistic fact to put a claim on this Serbian province.

He, 'from Holland' is 'Dutch' in English. I will not change this because it should be too close to 'Deutsch' or whatever.

It is Kosovo, not Kosova. Come on, guys. Get a life!

"Institutions of the republic of Kosovo should now start exercising their authority," said Thaci, underscoring that "positive changes had already started".

What sort of changes? Like your "defence force" perhaps?
What exactly is going to change in Kosovo, especially the north? Is the UN suddenly going to rubber stamp your independence?

At least the snake knows how to pronounce KosovO correctly, unlike his followers who to this day still don't know where they live. They think they live in some imaginary land called Kosova.

Mr. Thaci, please, give it a rest. Leave the north alone. Work to improve the life of the albanians rather than interfearing in someone elses business.

The snake story was nice. Applies to the situation in Kosovo for those that didn't know.

The politicians’ should learn one lesson: the authority of the state comes from her citizens.

Hence, Mr. Thaci wrong direction: the east/north east is the direction.

And you do better job in convincing your friends in State Dpt. to reach a deal with Serbia/Russa on this and move on- join with the rest of Albania.

Ah, some mines in north: you can always claim that they are of vital interest of your economy (Serbia is already very rich) and after all can be accounted for war damages that Serbia has inflicted and kept forcedly Kosova in Yugo/Serbia for decades.

A lesson for snake lovers-

A cowboy was riding his horse in the Texas desert, when he happened upon a wounded snake with her baby snakes, barly clinging to life. The kind hearted cowboy, picked up the snakes gently and took them to his ranch. After nursing and feeding the snakes back to life, the big snake, sneaky- like, bit the cowboy on the hand, releasing it's venom. The bitten cowboy asks the snake: After all that I did for you and your family how could you do this to me? The snake replied wth a grin: I am a snake!

If Thaci was a real man he would add:

"Also in the North EULEX is working within 1244. Meaning Kosovo is still part of Serbia, though governed by the UN."

Then I could try to respect Mr. Thaci.

Come on, Mr. Thaci, face reality!

A bit neurotic, aren't you Snake? No other country in the world often states that "we will not discuss our country's status", if they feel they are truly independent. Thaci keeps hearing Serbian footsteps I'm afraid. Although, they will eventually come. Just a matter of time.
