Mr. de Kermabon says "Politics is not EULEX’s job."
Is he out of his mind?
What on earth are the Croats doing in this Eulex deployment? (I doubt they are protecting the few remaining ethnic Croats in Letnica, Vitina or Janjevo)
It was clear the US 'rough-riders' would be involved; (criminals normally go back to the scene of the crime) but then we have the Germans! Again!
I would like to suggest the names of over 100 law-abiding UN member states who could form an 'UNLEX'in Kosovo i Metohija to provide policing and judicial work until such time as the province's future is legally decided by the United Nations.

Under Resolution 1244; status neutral; tackling organised crime (and in another story being pushed by Amnesty to find out what has happened to missing people).

Good clarification and the right noises coming from Yves - and he actually has some clout, unlike Kouchner, Feith etc. who still seem to be referring to the A Plan and independence (did they hear what the UN SC actually agreed?? Or do they have illusions that their PoV is more important than the UN?).

Seems there is a power struggle between Peter Feith and Kermabon. Both of them say different things. However, I think at this point most European countries and even the US supports maintaining the status que. So, there we have it. Kosovo is partitioned along ethnic lines. Then again, another solution is impossible without forcing serbs at gun point to join albanian institutions.
