It seems to me that Mr. Feith is promoting an ugly form of 'forced integation'in Kosovo i Metohija.
However, I now believe that Mr. Feith and his EU/US cronies have reverted to their old sordid antics of trying to ethnically cleanse the remaining Serbs out of the privince.
Money really does talk so it is in the interests of evil EU/US 'officials' to ensure that the 'new''Kosova' becomes Europe's 'Narcotocracy' and (while I'm at it) 'Womantrafficocracy' (sic).

Kate, I agree with a lot of what Giorgio said, and in all likelihood, even Feith is realizing the limits of authority he will wield from his bubble in Pristina.

Recall how only a few days ago he foolishly boasted that "Pristina rules Kosovo". Now we see him all but admit to an Albanian daily that Serb sectors - partcularly the north and Strpce - are all but integral components of Serbia Proper. And he's even now saying that compromises between Belgrade and Pristina are all but inevitable too? Looks to me like he's getting new orders from Brussels on how to govern this protectorate. That's fine with me because that's what a "neutral" exectuve authority should be doing in a neutral status protectorate.

EULUX can do nothing outside the frameworks of 1244. The UN is in control. Not the EU!

Feith should not make statemens like this.

From December 9 on the UN can prove that it takes the Kosovo issue serious by fully implementing 1244 and respecting the territorial integrity of Serbia!

They will be of course using smart Slavic country's troops. Because their life's are not as important as German ,Italian ,British etc to show how loyal they are to the EU's imaginary very expensive carrots and to its hypocritical nonsenses unlawful policies. How much will they believe the nonsense of Berlin ,Brussels London ,Rome ,Paris ,Washington etc the more the hypocrisies of country's say it is so. It must be the truth right they sure believe it that they will be willing to sacrifice other country's people over it.

@kate:
ICO and EULEX are actually two separate things and they were connected just in the initial planning when here in the west it was expected that Ahtisaari plan would have been approved (the harsh opposition by Russia and Serbia came as a surprise), but things went differently. Peter Feith is the head of ICO, his job will last until the end of february 09 and, unluckily for him, after the approval of the six points plan his role seems marginalised. Eulex is what it matters and, as far as it can mean, they state in their webpage that they act in accordance with UN 1244. Don't get anxious for Feith's statements, I suppose he is enjoying the last days under the "limelights".

Eulex will in no way be neutral or want to be. They will want to show who is in charge and the power of the EU. They will be looking for an excuse and a show down. With the Albanians or Serbs or both play off one off the other. They don't regard any of you they are all full of them selfs and their hypocrisy's. Very turbulent dangerous times ahead with Berlin ,Paris ,Rome London ,US involved they are a very hypocritical law on to them selfs.

Feith most have really upset somebody back home to get the Kosovo assignment. That's equivalent to being assigned to the Russian Front in WW2. Anyway, it's good to know that we at least have competent people back home.

I don't believe that any official who openly tries to dismiss any part of the 6 point UN agreed plan should be allowed to have anything to do with EULEX.

The only basis for deployment with Serbia's approval and agreed at the UN is for the 6 points to be respected. If any of these people like Feith speak against this agreement then they should be removed from their post or the agreement should become void. The mission should not be deployed until everyone has openly said that they will act in line with the UN plan.

Some of the US and EU representatives are coming out with totally unacceptable statements.
