Anyway people there already know this kind of "show".

Now, why does Artemije and Serbian media have to dramatize this, we all know that. And we all know who is Artemije and what this man stands for.
(marlboro, 8 December 2008 23:42)

Marlboro, for the ignorant ones here, please do tell us who Artemije is and what does he stand for?

I am so impressed how your parents brought you up to be respectful of clergy, especially the top clergy.
How would you feel if someone threw mud at your top Imams of whatever you have equivalent to Artemije.

What none of you has noticed, is the fact that this church is in Gracanica! Hellooo, GRACANICA!

Do you have any idea where that is? Have you ever been in Kosovo?

Gracanica is a Serb enclave. No Albanians there! It is a 100% Serb populated area.

The possibility that Albanians would break in into a church in Gracanica is very, very close to ZERO.

They were most probably young local thiefs. Simply as that.

Now, why does Artemije and Serbian media have to dramatize this, we all know that. And we all know who is Artemije and what this man stands for.

...Are you serious? Serbs behind the burning of churces in Kosovo. Well, I think this video clip will prove otherwise. It show albanians (hundreds) setting fire to a serbian church in Kosovo.

so throughout the ages those serbian churches weren´t touched by the Albanians, right?

hardly surprising, Beni.

through the ages the Albanians were a tiny minority in the southern serbian province...

only in the last 100 years they became a stronger minority.

so, the reason for the risen number of primitive violence against the serbian cultural heritage in our southern province is simply that temporarily there is no personnel to guard and protect it from k-albanian seperatists.

but trying to describe it as a serbian propaganda-plot is really something very stupid.

@Malcolm X:
yes indeed, it´s really very big nonsense, actually.
but some of them REALLY seem to believe that!
it will need time, to learn the truth... that does not happen within a few years...

but that´s the reason why UNSC 1244 is so important. times change, but UNSC 1244 stays.

Peggy

Beni, you are beyond belief.
Not even the most hardened Albanian apologists have denied that the churches and monasteries were destroyed by the Albanians but have tried to excuse it. You are the only one who is saying that Serbs did this as well.

From this article: "Artemije reminded that Gračanica was built in 1321, and that it has been placed on the UNESCO world heritage list."

Since the Serb Military are incapable or unwilling to defend the monastery then I suggest it be put on E-bay instead and be done with it.

I have read many unsavoury comments on this site but this particular one turned my stomach. How dare you state that a religous monument should be put on ebay and be done with it...I have plenty of muslim friends and would not dream of ever making such dispicable comments with regards to their places of worship. Respecting other religions and customs is the cornerstone of any civilised democratic society and statements such as these show that you have a long long way to go. Truly shameful

The Swedish soldiers are in a bind and should be relieved by soldiers from a neutral country. Sitting and watching is about the same as when they participated in supporting the Jihad KLA. One only has to look at Bildt's position throughout this disaster to know how serious the Swedish Government towards multiethnic Kosovo.

Their soldiers just adhere to government position and policy.

You obviously have a total disregard for religion in general, so it ponders the question why bother to post a comment relating to religion.

I respect everyones opinion even if I disagree with them but I do not respect ignorance. As a side note maybe someone could answer this question...... Why is it when you visit other sites sites that are of Kosovo Albanian origin you don't see many serbian posters but on here it is full of Albanian posters. Just think for a moment, those churches or most of the churches in Kosova have been there for ages yet no Albanian touched them.

Albanians were brutalised year in year out yet no one touched the churches. Albanians were expelled from their jobs, homes etc, yet no one touched the churches.
Even in 1989 when Millosevic revoked our autonomy and for 10 years during his rein no one touched the churches.

Now tell me when did they start burning the churches and other monasteries.

The burning of churches and destroying them it only started when Serbian politician want it and it suited them in order to gain some political gains in international arena.
I am not saying no Albanian was involved but I can guarantee you this, no Albanian started. Even after we came home, after being deported, tired and broken, finding our homes burned and our mosques & Kullas flatten out, still we did not touch the churches.
Only when KFOR was in and the Serbs politician wanted to play a victim card, did the churches begin to be burned, looted and destroyed.
I wonder why?

Only after first or few churches were destroyed did Albanians participated in because they were naive to believe that some Albanian did that, I might as well do it to the church in my town.

Little did they know that actually who started this crime was Serbia's politician and not Albanians. Albanians were caught with red hand and due to this we have churches and monasteries on Ahtisari plan.
This was Serbia's goal and they scored on international arena and for this I say to them well done.
The old game of Serbia, which are very good at it, I might add, is blame them before they blame us. The same story with you Peggy, you blame the others for the same thing your Gov did.

Everything that happens to Serbs is propaganda by the Serbs according to you. How dare you come on here and peddle you rubbish and disrespect the victims to that degree. I am astonished that you don't even think for one second that you will be seen as a careless unkind person.
There is proof and footage all around of what you people are doing to the Serbs and other non Albanians in Kosovo and you can still write this.
When do you intend to at least acknowledge that this is happening to the Serbs. Nobody expects you to care but at least stop making the victims into lairs.

I can't imagine even most Albanians supporting you in this any more.

MichaelJohn and Beni your comments does not cost a penny... This a historical site under UN protection. The age of this site makes it priceless. There left no more churches and monasteries since the true albanian democracy and law came in that land. As a citizen of Sweden I am not surprised that the swedes are only bystanders while extremist albanians are destroying a place of worship. The police in Sweden are cowards. At a recent demostration by left wingers the police were running away from the attackers. Before that they were bystanders while a teenager was beaten up by the demostrators. They attended to him only after he was layin beaten down on the ground. So, I'm not at all surprised that Sweden ranks bottom two in the western world when it comes to sulving crime. They are simply to afraid to do their job. Let the french or germans protect our holy places in Kosovo.

I won't be surprised if in coming days or months we will see more attacks on churches by " Albanian extremist". This then will prompt UN and EULEX to do something about it and come up with 7th point, specially created by the "new" circumstances/event.
Just like it happened with custom borders 1 & 31, courts etc. First provoke, make it look like being attacked, burn it and then come up with a point how to protect it.
Typical of Serbia's politics, playing a victim's card.
