Dačić: Party goal is SI

SPS leader Ivica Dačić says his party’s goal is membership of the Socialist International, as a modern left-wing party, with a reformed manifesto and personnel.

"I don’t think that the SPS’s acceptance into the Socialist International is of seminal importance, but for us it’s symbolic. We belong there, not with the right-wing or communist parties. If there’s no room for us in the world family of socialist parties, then the essence of our existence, as a socialist party in this country, is pointless,”

In the first sentence he says it is not seminal in the last sentence he said that there is no need for the party to exist without it.

This means one of two things:

Either Dacic is once again contradicting himself because he likes to talk regardless of what might be said or promised

or

Dacic admits that it is not important for the SI to accept his party as it is not important for the sps to exist.

Well who am I to disagree with the genius behind the for a EULUX Serbia coalition.
