HRW: No EU without full cooperation

The EU needs to send a message to Serbia that full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal remains essential for EU membership, says Human Rights Watch (HRW).

Just a few months ago, HRW called for investigation of the missing serbs. (i just double-checked.) now, suddenly, "who cares bout that american ngo??" so, highly esteemed posters, get your alliances str8t, please.

as for so-called cooperation with the hague, anyone who has been following this sad story knows there was never real and willing cooperation with the hague fr blgd. during djindjic's term here was some pragmatic cooperation, which god knows is better than nothing, esp.ly since milosevic was removed from the balkans. and bless djindjic for that! and then, the ultimate price...

other than that, no cooperation without teeth-pulling.

for many years i was screaming "arrest mladic, arrest mladic!" funny, after the arrest of "Dr. david" i let up. both are evil men, evil war criminals. but why give blgd a free ticket, simply for turning in their beloved mladic after all of these years? as long as they continue to shelter him, it is obvious to the civilized world where their priorities and values lie. and no eu, no nato, no nothin.

but then of course all of my frnds and acquaintances in serbia have to continue to suffer. a lose-lose story.

HRW? What relevance does an American 'NGO' (LOL!) have to do with the EU and its membership criteria?

I suppose they have to keep their paymasters happy, but really, these great moral arbiters of the world would also do well to keep their own government in check or is this too 'difficult' a task for them?
