Can you show us specifically where the so-called six point plan is refered to in the text of the agreement to deploy Eulex. I don't believe it is included in the agreement.

Thank you.

"Correction.
UNSC resolution 1244 states that Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia and that federation is long gone. Kosovo was NEVER part of Serbia and will never be.

Eulex is going to be deployed and somehow i've got this feeling that there will be chaos up north.

Albanian,

Obviously you are ignorant of the fact the Serbia is the recognized successor to the former Yugoslavia. I won't bother to explain as I have done this so many times in the past to pro-Pristina posters who are or professed to be ignorant about this. I suggest you write to the UN or EU for the background info.

"lowe.
I don't remember anyone in the EU verbally or otherwise agreeing anything to the 6 point plan. I have heard several say that the 6points was something developed between Ban and Serbia.
I have yet to hear anyone in EULEX or EU say they have altered their mandate from that created in Feb.
(Hmmm, 4 December 2008 14:40)"

Then may I respectfully suggest that you search the archives of B92, CNN and BBC, and to be more informed before you post?

By the way, the 6-point plans was unanimously endorsed by the UNSC which, I hope you know, included the EU members UK and France.

Is there something wrong with you absorbing what you read?
Time and time again it has been stated that Serbia is a successor to Yugoslavia, therefore Kosovo is still within the boundries of Serbia.
How can you keep repeating the same old inaccurate line about Kosovo being part of Yugoslavia therefore it cannot be part of Serbia?

What is so hard to understand here? Serbia is a successor therefore Kosovo belongs to the successor.

No to partition, even Tadic said so. Partitions are so 19th century, if everyone wants to get in EU we must learn to live together. We don't want to be accused of being 'ethnically pure'
(Alban, 4 December 2008 14:30)
what makes these calls for tolerance so amusing and at the same time annoying is that they are dishonest. serbs are calling for equal rights for all serbian citizens including albanians, albanians say "we all need to learn to live together" but of course they mean under albanian rather than serbian rule. the central question is in which state serbs and albanians will learn to live together and here i don't see much tolerance on either side, just repetition of typical 19th century irredentist claims - "kosovo is serbia" and "we suffered so much from albanians during the ww2 and since 1999" as well as "we are descendents of ancient illyrians and we were here first" and "we suffered so much under serbian rule, nevaaar forgetttt!". you will never learn to live together in this way.

Finally we go somewhere! Please learn to love your country Serbia, Alban!

Dont you all realize Kosvo is turning in to a colony of the EU empire. To deflect the problems of the EU by the hypocrite politicians of it by turning and pretending to solve the problems of Kosovo. Many of those EU country's are experts at running colonies even to this day and age and blaming the natives also murdering them old habits die hard I wont trust any of them!

"Victor, you should remind Feith what you have just said. Since the local population north of the Ibar will tolerate no interference from Pristina, Eulex will have to respect this based on what you said!"

Excellent! This should make the job of the EULEX staff much easier. Given that their role is to advise and mentor, not to implement the policies of serbs or albanians, they should now be able to actually do their jobs.

Perhaps this will stop both sides whining like children about who is and isn't on their side.

EULEX is supposed to be their to train locals, not to sort out their messy local politics and squabbles between the various elements.

I imagine that most of these EU cops couldn't give a damn about the politics of the situation but would probably like to be helpful in creating an accountable and modern criminal justice system as opposed to one based upon which political faction has most influence.

When both sides grow up and move into the rest of the world you may be regarded internationally with more respect.

B92, who not report on damaged cars (by Serbs) with KS license plates in N Mitrovica? An Albanian female student was also physically attacked. When *someone* throws a stone at a Serbian wall it becomes news here.

"The EULEX mission has already begun to deploy, and Feith hopes that European customs officials will be stationed on the administrative line too, which has thus far been a bone of contention for Belgrade.

“We have two crossings in the north: crossing 31 and crossing 1, near Leposavić. Both these crossings will soon be opened. We hope to have good cooperation with the Serbian customs authorities,“ he says."

Feith, don't hold your breath for this to happen as you will end up suffocating. The K-Serbs there themselves will not allow this. See more on a related point below.

"EULEX spokesman Victor Reuter explains that the mission’s role is of an advisory nature: “The goal and one of the biggest principles of the mission is supervision and advising. The best way for this is to sit down with the local population to whom the these principles will be applied.“

Victor, you should remind Feith what you have just said. Since the local population north of the Ibar will tolerate no interference from Pristina, Eulex will have to respect this based on what you said!
