1244 mentions broad autonomy, right? You guys love that. Who passes the criminal laws etc in that case? If you can't pass your own laws, what is the point of having autonomy?

Usually if something that should be evident needs to be said out loud usually means it is not true. Also the fact that this Imperial errand boy Feith is saying it means it is not true.

As a technical mission there is no need to make the distinction. It will implement the laws enacted by the Kosovo govt as laid out in Res 1244.

"america is the most powerful country in the world"...one kid says...

well, I doubt that, but even if so, US-american intelligence services predict the scene to change dramatically until 2025.

so, what will be left of the "one and only global superpower"? =)

and until that day, UNSC 1244 will be in effect.

very good, indeed.

in the meantime, Serbia will strengthen it´s position among the democratic states of this planet and make it more and more an illusion to believe in any kind of "sovereignty" of our southern province.

actually, some day in the future, the Albanians themselves will realize that they´ve been duped. at least those, who now dream of any kind of "natural albania" or of "independence" at all.

Kosovo independent?

you wish.

MarKo,

Big fish DO eat little fish, in the real world, alliances matter. I like the fact that you quote me, it's the truth, America is the most powerful country in the world with over 500 military bases worldwide and another 200 secret bases, this is all true.

Jovan,
you guys got tricked by your might ally, Russia. Where is that freaking bear with Putin screaming rhetoric and propaganda? Why doesn't your master Putin come out and denounce this? Does he care? Does Tadic care? Kosovo is independent, the end.

Another Albanian irredentist who simply doesnt get it. The US is bankrupt, militarily, economically, political etc. and its military industrial complex is an albatross around its neck. The US will not be able to afford the luxury of an empire and its trappings (military bases) for much longer. Its over 10 trillion dollars in debt, many of that toxic debt due to the buyouts in their failed banks. It is also facing its worst financial forecast since 1932. Do you guys not read the newspapers or look at Bloomberg. Check out Peter Schiff if I were you.

The EU economy is also struggling so tell me this, where is all that cash promised to you going to come from. Thats just the economics of it guys.

As for the premature gloating at the Russians/Serbs. Serbia got what it wanted - EULEX status neutral and operating under UN Security Council Mandate = Resolution 1244 which effectively relegates Thaci & co. to the role of a meaning committee. How do we know this? Well all you have to do is look at the recent negotiations between Brussels and Belgrade over EULEX. The Snake was completley ignored. Why was that people?

sp

pre 15 godina

Peggy,
There was no need to negotiate with Pristina. The Kosovo govt welcomed EULEX with open arms in February. The goal was to get Russia on board so needed for Serbia to give blessing. Therefore the pseudo negotiations with Serbia so they could sell to the Serbian people without a lynching. If you watched the UNSC session it was quite interesting.
The Presidential statement makes no mention of the 6 point plan.
As to your job, I am sure you are right if you deviate too far you can be terminated. However, in the case of EULEX in ordered to be terminated,it would take not only a majority of the UNSC which would never happen but also for the UK, France, and US to agree.
Of course there is the argument that EULEX comes in under Res 1244. But it affirmed Serbia (Y) territorial integrity in 1999, but was meant as a working document, pending settlement of the final status of Kosovo. One side says status has been determined while the other says it has not. Hence the new term of the UNMIK and EULEX missions --status neutral. Which neither as organizations confirms Kosovo's status as an independent country nor as a completely autonomous province of Serbia. As a technical mission there is no need to make the distinction. It will implement the laws enacted by the Kosovo govt as laid out in Res 1244.

Nothing will be imposed on Pristina???? But the 6-points have already been imposed!!!

This is lip service they see Pristina is mad oh well if they throw the UN under the bus then EULEX will really have no respect because the world will know they are full of muti and do not stick there word. This just to appease Pristina they will open a office in Mitrovica and that is about it.

Alban, it's not up to Feith to interpret anything. What was signed is the only thing that matters.

There is only one way to interpret a legal document. Status neutral is not Athisaari plan no matter how hard to try to interpret it your way.

Because it was a sham, they don't matter, and Prishtina said no to them. Serbia is declaring 'victory' as EULEX takes over the enclaves and N Mitrovica; UN will leave within 120 days. Zanieri:

"Pristina _ The chief of the UN Mission in Kosovo says the six-point plan for the deployment of EU law-and-order mission, EULEX, should not be viewed as a “take it or leave it” plan.

In an interview for Kosovo daily, Express on Wednesday, United Nations Mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, chief Lamberto Zannier explains that the plan is subject to further dialogue, to be directed by EULEX.

“These arrangements [of the six-point-plan] will be re-interpreted and it will be up to EULEX to see how to further develop the implementation of the plan,” Zannier told Express.

Asked whether the plan will lead to the partition of the northern, Serb-dominated part of Kosovo, Zannier reaffirmed the UN’s position against any kind of partition."

Logic, i have never heard of a lord and master being referred to as a strategic partner; but as long as you are happy with the yoke that separatism has brought upon your heads, who am i to complain? The truth of the matter is that the KLA leadership knows who has buttered their bread and as long as they do exactly what they are told to do by "your strategic partners" they will continue to exist in their crime driven fiefdom and avoid accountability, like Dukanovic.

If what Feith says keeps the Albanians pacified while functional partition solidifies then good, keep those rhetorical speeches coming.

So long as the Albanians think they are independent then regional stability is safe. So long as the Albanians are isolated then their thoughts can be controlled.

I believe Feith is just doing his job. No harm to reality.

Maybe the separatists should realize that their "friends" "the most powerful nations in the world" didn't get so powerful by having small friends. Big fish it the little fish-Brussels is the capital of independent Kosovo and the flag is blue and gold.
