"Govt. to carry can for airport affair"

Following the resignation today of the Belgrade Airport CEO, the DSS believes the whole govt. should bear responsibility for such affairs, not just individuals.

Sebastian I think that DSS are trying to deflect attention about the fact that one of their functionaries was caught with his hand in the till at the Kosovo ministry.

Still, DSS might want to remember that this appointee was from G17 - the DSS coalition partner for the last who knows how many years. And that they had members on the board as well. Aligrudic was for years picking up huge bonuses as a member of JAT's board. Lets examine that pay in relation to JAT's performance and see whether he was paid too much. It particularly bothers me that he was well known for not attending board meetings.

Still, I like it - the media, with cooperation from corrupt politicians are willing to single out greedy political appointees, that now appear to fall when combined pressure is too much.

That is a good thing as Serbian politicians used to just close ranks in private, whilst maintaining public conflict, so that they could short change the Serbian people.

It's nice to bring crooked politicians and their political appointees down. Long may it continue.

Aligrudić said that “every passing day with this government means doom for our people.”

Ah yes, "doom". If the DSS actually believe this, shouldn't they be more pro-active, instead of whining as "doom" approaches?

Perhaps getting less than 10% of the vote at the last election is a more accurate reflection of both the idea of "doom" and the trust the voters have in DSS rhetoric.
