This is something that the US will accept (and planned for). Otherwise why did the US insist on Camp Bondsteel being situated where it is (close to Presheva). This will be an even swap, I'm sure all will agree. Now this is a win-win, and the Serbs will feel they have gained something of a compromise!

IF you read this post above and now you realize what is the main purpose behind some agreeing to the 6 points. Well if you think Bondsteel is your savior you should think again. There is not going to be a partition don't listen to these idiots who do not know there butt from a hole in the ground. US is not going to help you annex presevo or any other areas. If egypt kicks you out of the conference because 1 you are not a UN recognized country and 2 a fair weather muslim who is tied to the US and Europe. Its easy to see why but let me tell you. USA 2008 is not USA 1999. USA today is in deep financial straits back home. They can't even bail out their banks, mortgagees and jobless without printing more money and getting foreigners like China to help out. A lot of unrealistic comments in here. UN or EU cannot implement any plan without the support of authorities in Kosovo. Maybe they can implement it in the north, but NO WAY in Serbian populated areas in the south.
Vice versa, Kosovo cannot implement any of its plans in the north of Kosovo, without the support of Serbs.
The UN and EU is pushing now, with this 6-point plan towards a partition. What they do not know yet, is that if once the Ahtisaari plan is set aside (and it is with 6 point) that means that Kosovars will also have no longer to respect the Ahtisaari Plan.
In the reality, it means the north will go to Serbia while the Serb enclaves in the south will slowly dissapear. The most interesting point though, is that if Kosovars are not obliged to respect the Ahtisaari plan, they will very soon want to unite with Albania.
Serbia and the UN is the looser one way or the other.

Then it will go back to supervised independence - as Belgrade as supervisor. You see - probably real independence is almost irreversable, but fake for sure not - because it never existed.
