I have to say... some of the comments from my fellow Albanians sound very strange (I'm trying to be polite here)...unless of course they know something I don't, which I seriously doubt.

Like Endri mentioned, it seems bizarre that Germany would sabotage any EU efforts in the region, especially, since it was one of the main supporters of Kosovo's independence.

Now, according to an article in the Christian Science Monitor ( http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/1124/p99s01-duts.html ) one alternative theory is that those 3 Germans may have been investigating links of organized crime to Kosovo
government officials...and got a little too close for comfort.

Knowing the reality of the links between organized crime and the political class throughout the Balkans, this second explanation sounds a lot more plausible to me.

No peggy we are not powerfull neither rich country, but i think it is very important[for the time being] to prove to all others that it is not the albanians who bombed the EULEX building but the EU founders themselvs.

I cannot believe all the chest thumpking by the Albanians here. Do you guys really believe that you are that powerful? Do you honestly think that you can take anyone in Europe on let alone the Germans?

I agree with at least the spirit of comment 5. We cannot allow ourselves to exchange one foreign oppressor for another. Kosova's liberty is too precious for that. Some people here have very short memories, Germany's record in the Balkans throughout the 20th century is appalling.

There will be anti-German demonstrations in Prishtina this week - I hope they are even bigger than last week's to show Germany, and all other "great" countries, that no one will ever again mess tell Kosova what to do.

Up to now, there are only speculations on this issue and no tangible facts yet revealed.

If the situation would be like it is presented now and the three would really be BND guys, their capturing would only be due to their "colleagues" in a certain central intelligence agency. It would be an easy way to send a message to Frau Angela on some issues, cause BND is under the direct authority of the Chancellery.
In any case, my guess is that there are little chances that they will see trial.

And here we have it again never-ending pointing finger at Serbs by Albanian posters.

The article clearly says that three Germans were arrested in Kosovo as main suspects linked to ICO bombings, and yet some posters claim that this event is done, or paid by MUP.

Arti, you obviously have no decency or you are just desperate that actually Germans were involved in bombings and not Serbs.

I can go even further with fantasies and say that these Germans were paid by Albin Kurti or Haradinaj (which would not come as surprise) since we know that Haradinaj is highly motivated to take some of the high provincial positions.

What is next? Perhaps Mr Tadic or Mr Jeremic organised the bombings in order to destabilize our province. No, actually it must be Mr Kostunica’s master plan.

Some people here never stop amazing me.

Dear Gustave,

I think that the comment from Arsim is nothing more then a joke. If he meant it seriously then it would be simply ridiculous. Germany has been helping us a lot during the recent years so let the police and justice do their job. This would be the best response.

Greeting from Albania.

German secret service paid by MUP to cause instability in Kosova and trying to portray the Albanians as terrorist in the balkans, this is the old trick that Serbia used for many years against as,many of the Serbian camp here like all the incidents that happen in Kosova rushed to to blame Albanians for everything without looking at the real the reasons why would Albanians would destabilize their own country,in this case hurt their own allies that helped them to win their freedom, looks like this time the MUP won't get bonuses for their failure, :).

Komandant Ceku must lead Kosova's forces to Germany now! Then Germans will learn their lesson.
(Arsim, 23 November 2008 12:24)

Whoa Arsim , hold down yer horses. I know there's no school today and you are bored at home, but statements like this are not wise or helpful to us. Especially since Germany is our top partner and ally in EU.

If those 3 are really secret agents then I have no doubt we'll never get to know the truth.

Demi, if they were doing a good job they would've arrested your leaders by now.

If's funny how such a great police force can never find any criminals who terrorize Serbs, like the Serbian children in primary schools.

They can't find anyone who beats up any Serbs either.

They are a joke, keystone cops.
