I have been saying this for a long time now. Why do we need status neutral (EULEX) when we have status defined (Res 1244). (Peggy, 22 November 2008 22:17)

why was 1244 made, Peggy ?? to protect it, right ??

much more fair and resonable would have been an deployment of UN forces all over the territory controlled by BG authorities.

"You wanted UNSC1244 --> Ahtisaari Plan ---> independence.

If you ask for EULEX---> Full independence.

Be careful what you wish for.

I don't understand your logic (notwithstanding your name on B92) .... how did Ahtisaari's plan conform to 1244???? His plans were rejected by the UNSC precisely because they flouted 1244.

As for Eulex, again wishful thinking rather than LOGIC. EU has no intention of giving you full independence. They will give you "supervised" independence south of the Ibar. Which anyone with a sense of LOGIC can see at once that it really amounts to the EU being your new masters via Eulex!

Kostunica is right on the money here.

Tadic is going to do this and Serbia will just have to get used to it. I have been asking if Tadic can answer my question of why the change to EULEX. I don't think that anyone has put this question to him.

i dont like this guy kostunica, he never misses a chance to bust the serbian bubbles..

serbia can never have good relation with west, if they still support russia

I did not expect DSS to be able to figure out the true plan of EULEX so soon. The DSS party are apparently more intelligent than they appear.

However, with Camp Bondsteel permanently placed in Kosova, there is no need for EULEX since the Albanian Kosovars are more than capable of running their new country!
